Why don't get why politicians and economists and the like freak out over population collapses and the viability of their country's pension and social security schemes, can't they just lax their immigration requirements to fix that problem?

Cheap immigrant labor undercuts original citizen labor thus making it harder for them to find jobs, thus more unemployment and a shittier economy all around since no one has any money to buy anything. So then the original citizens can't even afford houses and they stop having children, while the immigrants fuck like rabbits and raise their children to work even cheaper and drive standards of living down down down until it essentially resembles whatever third world shithole they came from
