FED won't pivot and Powell stays hawkish, catching the market off-guard and making them panic sell in the 3rd - 4th quarter of 2023.

Basically the same as the wait/buy strategy. Maybe you think a black swan is coming soon. Or, if you're holding bonds, or notes right now, that you bought late last year, sell those for cash and wait for the yields to go back up again when the market tanks.

Ya, I think the market is trying to play a game of chicken with Powell. Every week now we are getting shittier economic data and job losses, but the market rallies on it, hoping for a FED pivot.

Frankly, I'm hoping Powell stays hawkish and destroys the FED put, at least for this year. Some economic analytics are calling for a 3,000 S&P 500 index by the end of the year. That's only if Powell stays hawkish though.
