53329518 No.53329518 [Reply] [Original]

Recovered email from Nexo co-founder Georgi Shulev reveals concerns with other top executives regarding Nexo's illegal price suppression of LINK. Looks like Georgi may have sold Nexo out and gave the police enough evidence to raid the offices. Last cycle we solved a lot of bread crumb mysteries but this cycle the big mystery wasn't how or if Chainlink would succeed, but who was trying to stop it. This is the first time we've heard an admission from someone this high up in Nexo. I doubt Sergey would address this publicly even with Nexo's co-founder speaking out but it would be nice.

https://www.bestbrokers.com/2023/01/18/leaked-email-by-nexo-co-founder-reveals-fraudulent-malpractices-by-the-crypto-firm/

>"I will also not comment on the fact that Antoni proudly announced Nexo’s partnership with Chainlink, the hidden and main purpose of which is to attract additional resources to open short positions with LINK. This example is enough to provide evidence for conflicts of interest, market manipulation, misuse of personal data, and abuse of client assets."
>"My ambition was to turn Nexo into a company that is a leader in its field. A company that will prove that Bulgarians also know how to create successful global companies, and not only come up with schemes for abuse, law violation, and siphoning off funds. Yet, this is exactly what Kosta turned the company into."

Chainlink was always the perfect token to short, you need something that won’t be randomly pumped from retail interest but has enough demand/liquidity that sustained shorting won’t kill the token. In a way it was the perfect golden goose.

Most of these hucksters were just using Chainlink price feeds anyways, that was the extent of the relationship. Chainlink works with thousands of projects and it just so happened to be the case that CeFi specifically was one big ponzi. While Sergey did give some of these people a platform to speak about their products Sergey himself only ever shilled DeFi. He understood that CeFi was only ever useful as an interim step borne out of poor DeFi UI, but unfortunately it couldn't even sustainably play that short term role without imploding.

It's crazy how that article recaps the Zeus Capital report verbatim without any responses to the contrary. Seems to me they want to get traction on the Zeus Capital report even after pointing out the entire premise comes from a fraudulent source. My worry is that within the turmoil people will forget where NEXO received the information in order to type that report namely former Chainlink Consultancy Group CLCG members who now work for API3 Berekt Sasa and a few others. It was these Bulgarians who knew about the fud4fun memes back in the day and used I believe Rory's community engagement strategy of trip and name fag marketing personas like uncle to antagonise the community in order to promote it. That strategy seriously backfired and we had to deal with Eastern European trash for years now. Hope you are happy with this outcome, Rory, and how no other place on the internet has a Chainlink community. By the way 99% of Chainlink posts are made by community advocates now. No one else has the energy left for this shit I guarantee you. This is the truth of the matter because truth>trust.

There is not a lot to update on this topic.
Aave disabled borrowing of LINK some time ago.
There is a leftover 1.87M LINK borrowed but it won't have a big impact now.
https://app.aave.com/reserve-overview/?underlyingAsset=0x514910771af9ca656af840dff83e8264ecf986ca&marketName=proto_mainnet

The problem is that every CeFi who went bankrupt and even FTX dumped their LINK tokens.
FTX dumped 3.5 million tokens during the "hack" after declaring bankruptcy.

So what you have is many customers who were forcefully made to short the token and are waiting to recover their funds in $.
Not the best setup for a short squeeze.

What may happen is that if for example Celsius customers or FTX customers recover their funds it would generate buying pressure on the dumped token as they try to recover their altcoin stacks.
That should be in the 10-20 million of LINK token dumped which they could try to buy back to recover their stacks if the price doesn't move.

If LINK recovers before they won't be able to buy it back so the buying pressure would remain in the $70-140 million but it could create additional FOMO.
This would make a pump as all the buying pressure would come at the same time.

The question is the motivation for the LINK price suppression currently happening.
Is Nexo the one doing it?
Did they borrow more LINK to short and will go bankrupt if it goes up?

In that case the price suppression could stop or weaken and LINK finally recover after Nexo's bankruptcy.
But the same thing would happen as with Celsius and users would lose their stacks until they recover their money in $ after half a year.

The short squeeze from institutions cause bankruptcies with no additional initial buying pressure.
If others are doing the same thing and shorting LINK then it could cause a smaller short squeeze.
We may learn more if LINK manages to go to $10 one day.

Sergey needs to do something to recover the hype on the project soon.

>> No.53334210

>The two founders behind Chainlink, are constantly selling LINK from their vast reserves into the market, as well as at a substantial discount from the current price to selected institutions over-the-counter (OTC), thus incentivizing purchasers to lock in profits by quickly selling it further, creating an inevitable downward spiral LINK’s characteristics, such as the lack of a functional decentralized ecosystem, combined with recent decisions by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), leave no doubt that LINK will be classified as a security token, thereby putting the whole enterprise and the investors at substantial risk of anything from dealing in unregistered securities to court orders for the disgorgement of proceeds.

Unfortunately yes.
He is shit at doing politics.

Better hope he does not need money until he releases something to pump the project.
The result of this is that holding Chainlink is a bad investment on a shorter time frame.
Maybe something happens at the end of this year.

The only thing which seems like it could pump the project would be institutional insider trading front running the official announcement of CCIP being integrated with Swift.
Maybe DECO could do something too but we don't have a clear roadmap for it.

As for the CCIP Swift roadmap the integration window for Swift is between November 2023 and November 2025.
The announcement of this will cause the real pump before the official integration, and will be front run 1-3 months by the institutions.
This means max uncertainty from now until the end of 2025.

Still Chainlink/BTC is getting murdered and currently getting the 4th hit and losing the support it reclaimed half a year ago.

It is, I, the anti chainlink spammer. Yes, I admit to all of it. I dislike chainlink because it's price performance reminds me of my own inadequacy in the bedroom. Simply put, I cannot perform. My dick cannot get hard anymore. Not that I've ever had a girlfriend anyway. My addiction to hardcore pornography has ruined my dick, but also more importantly, my mental health. I've turned into a complete schizo hermit, isolating myself in a tiny bedroom I never leave, with extreme porn blasting constantly and over multiple screens. I can not get hard anymore and I'm depressed and suicidal but for some reason my therapist cannot even comprehend, fudding chainlink is what keeps me alive. My therapist says I'm just projecting my own sexual inadequacy and life failures onto another thing, and just replacing my previous unhealthy addiction with another twisted obsession. They only knew the project because when CLCG was cut off from a funding round by Sir Gay they went apeshit and plotted revenge. Interestingly they are also Bulgarian Eastern Euro trash. API3 is their project. Zeus Capital was made possible by them. Simeon wrote it but he was informed what to write by CLCG a defunct chainlink partner and the original betrayers.

Why do you think neet nodes arent a thing or why you have to KYC nodes? Its because of those Bulgarian rats. That's why people hate Nexo but most don't know the full story because they are new and blame Nexo solely. My guess is there were a few well known community members caught up in it and they had to go dark as a result and now its easier to just buckpass the blame on to Nexo. That's a possibility if the goal of the market manipulators is the weaken /biz/ and prevent us from gaining power.
By locking most of /biz/ into LINK most of the gains are made by VCs and defenseless normies who pose no risk to the system.

Chainlink should not be considered as a crypto project following the normal cycles of crypto bull runs and Sergey does not want to make advertising for it.
The real problem is that Chainlink is a boomer investment on a monthly time frame while crypto is one on steroids in a weekly time frame.
It will go back to $20 and probably make a new ATH one day but an investment on a monthly time frame has a 5-10 year horizon.

I can't find the wallet where this came from.
Do you have a link to it?

They said something about dumping 50 million tokens in the next 9 months 9 months ago...
I think there was something like 20-30 million of tokens left to dump.
They were probably waiting for better market conditions to dump and FTX rug pulled them from the $12 short term price target.

I can't say a lot about this then.
What we would want to see are periodic dumps like what we had in the bull market as that would show a longer bull market preparation.

A sporadic dump does not give a lot of information.
Maybe they are using it partly to pay for the BUILD partnerships.

>It is no coincidence I decided to write a response to the email I received from Zeus Capital, especially after it became clear that Nexo is the company behind it. As it turns out, Kosta and Antoni’s idea to create a company that writes, publishes, and distributes advertisements that contain analysis designed to degrade projects like Chainlink in order to make a profit from short positions ultimately yields results.

>If there are still people who do not know or doubt that Nexo is behind Zeus Capital, I wish to point out that the email address (below) to which Zeus sent me their degrading analysis about Chainlink was used solely to register with Nexo. This goes to prove that Nexo sends these reports on behalf of Zeus Capital using its own client database.

>In addition to this, a considerable number of people who invested in Chainlink have found proof confirming that Nexo is behind Zeus Capital and that the analysis was written by their new colleague Simeon Rusanov. This is just one of the most recent examples of the abuse Kosta, Antoni, and Kalin are committing with cryptocurrencies and customer personal data. Say nothing of the apparent conflict of interest between Nexo and its customers who have deposited their LINK tokens to get credit and still believe they are not sold to Binance but are insured and in a safe place on BitGo. I leave it to you to decide if this is the truth.

No. In like ten years. There is an incentive on companies to stake ever greater amounts once their reputation is as high as it is possible to get, because the key determinant of reliability will be value of security then. Even with quadrilatic super-linear staking, this is going to result in 95% of those 1 billion tokens being locked up. People will be fighting over juels to gain an edge at some point. If I'm wrong, smart contracts will never become a "thing" but they almost certainly will be because business likes things that are more efficient and make them more money than what they and their competitors already use.

OP here, this is correct. At the very bottom of the article there's two photos of the printed email exchange. Someone named "Linda Stone" from Zeus Capital sent Georgi an email marketing their report on Chainlink. Linda's email is in English. In response Georgi sent off his own email calling out the inside job to what looks like maybe 50ish different email addresses. Georgi's email is in what I'm assuming is Bulgarian. Georgi signs off his email with "Joro", which is just a Bulgarian hypocorism.
