What did you guys do today? Today I hit a maple repeatedly with a hammer. It was cathartic. It's still got some rough spots. Makes for a nice fidgit. I hammered it into a minor bowl. It can spin easily when laying flat on the convex side.
If you're getting paid in paper any time soon, trade it up for straight cash. Things is going to get weird next month.
Oh! And if you can pick up any interesting old coins, particularly if you have the provenance, stack that shit too. Collecting ancient shit will make a come back, large.
There's a buyer on the scene who wants to hoard that shit for some reason. Especially coins with kings/emperors on them.
Is this 'my uncle works at nintendo' tier advice? Yes. Take it, leave it. I'm taking it.

Plus I just made a massive fucking purchase that I never thought I was going to make in the first place.
I now intend to send it into CAC and chase that gold sticker for it but Im not that kind of guy who sends coins out for grading enough to justify paying for a membership so Im probably going to have to send it through a coin shop.
I also have a 1889-CC Morgan dollar that I bought in an outdated holder and I intend to send it off to CAC both at the same time but Im waiting for them to finally unveil their full-scale grading service and I really want to get it inside of CAC's new holders. I think it will be super fucking sweet to have one of them as soon as they start full-on grading and slabbing.

Like the story of how circumcision came to be:
Moses wife saw god angrily walking toward them with a knife and so she cut her son dick
Or how he throw them fucking venomous snakes and then forced them to carry a totem for just daring to ask for food
Or how he literally egged Egyptians even though he could have easily just not HARDEN the heart of Egyptian pharaoh
Or how he was so crazy that he order Jews to genocide the people of old “Israel” and even held the sun in sky (read: keep earth from rotating) so they can continue their genocide.
He is a fucking bpd psycho that might snap at any moment. Why even worship this crazy entity?

Keep a six month hike in your back pocket, ready to take out when metaphorical alarm bells are going off in your head.
I personally wouldn't worry about foodstuffs as much as metals. But even then metals aren't everything. Jesus is greater, of course.
Do you have a family? Take a wife now if you can. Like, post haste. Forgive her of past transgressions if she can do the same. One man with two women supporting him will fare better. Especially if you can love each other. Choose women with different skillsets if you can. It helps if you can actually find a woman who is okay with sharing you.
Unfortunately by the time metal, guns, and supplies will become necessary, women will be in shortest supply. And they will be most crucial. There are some things you just can't do by yourself and absolutely some things you can't do with just men.
Even Mr. Godhater anon would hopefully see the wisdom in this.
You don't have much time.
Stack metal. Stack ammo. Stack weapons. Stack women.
Maybe cap this shit.

I kilobar goes for close to spot (plus tip, depending on cunt). Most 1oz coins/bars go for 15-30% over spot. So if you trade a kilo (~32 oz) for 1oz pieces you end up with 700-850g (~22-27oz). This is for silver but also applies to gold if you go small enough. On the other hand it's not like you really lost value. What is lost in weight is gained in liquidity. You can also get rid of your bits and pieces and get that kilo back (minus any spread, fees, taxes or other overhead in your trades).

You must elaborate anon, are you saying that my hoard of ancients is going to moonshot? I hoovered up as much as I could in the years prior to coofvid, primarily because of autistic interest in ancient things and secondarily because I recognized that the efficient global market and access to antiquities in the 2010s wouldn't last forever. I explained to my dad then that it seemed like the world was in a sweet-spot with a window of opportunity to obtain rare ancient coins and artifacts that wouldn't remain open forever. I expected a shift toward (archaeological) resource nationalism and more effective enforcement along with a breakdown of globalization which would hamper access and availability and cheap mail service from source countries plus eventual conflicts which would also shut down international postal services. I didn't expect something like covid which shuttered international mail for a while but did expect conflict to arise, like the Russia/Ukraine war, which would make it impossible to do business with sources in countries where the artifacts are found. I used to get lots of good stuff from Russians and Ukrainians.

Availability of ancient coins and artifacts still hasn't recovered to pre-coof volumes and it does seem like interest and thus prices are increasing for what remains, but if some sort of paradigm shift is coming and the number of collectors does a 10x then I'll be sitting on a tidy little fortune.

There’s no difference if you’re just stacking for weight as long as it’s all the same purity. 999fine.

With lesser known “brands”/mints etc though you’re much more likely to get ripped off with a fake, so if you’re just gonna buy the cheapest bars you can get then make sure you are capable of testing it. Also if you’re just gonna stack 1kg bars then you’re gonna find it much more difficult to liquidate or get a good price over spot when you sell. It’s why most people stack in 1oz bullion coins.

Buy from a reputable dealer. Other than that, it depends on your interests. If you are looking to acquire as much metal as possible as cheaply as possible, then you are probably going to want large bars. But there are other considerations - aesthetic, historic, nationalistic, taxes, etc.

From what I read/watched there shouldn't be a problem to liquidate 1 kg bars, should it? Normal buyers just care if it is pure and will buy nontheless.

Lets say 20 years later nothing mad-max tier happens and society is still keeping on, and the price of 1oz of gold is like 11k 20 years later or something, and the law never changed about the 10k horseshit for reporting and taxes, it would be better for you to have some 1/2 or 1/4 to liquidate to skirt around the law reporting it, depending on your state / country.

They are not gonna go door to door, the government will just prey upon the dumb boomers and npcs who trusted their banks to hold their metals for them because its easy to slurp it all up.

Coins are neat.

Do any of you have a coinfather or coinmother? An elder who gave you a coin? Do you still have that coin? Do you remember them when you see and hold that coin?

True wealth of a coin is in those hands it changed and the number of stories of lives it connects. This gives a coin weight. Some may note this in life and catch those coins with nameful stories.

In the hereafter such coins will be a treasure, for all the stories they connect and will connect.

pmg, you may not hear me now but you may remember later and hear me then. You may buy such stories from eachother in this life to take as a treasure into the next. To make a coin a treasure or to increase its worth, exchange it for a coin of someone else. The stories will stay in the coin. Then, you must each give the coin away to a younger. Thus that exchange will create two new coinparents and those stories can be remembered by that coin in the weight of that coin in the hereafter. And any coin that is given in exchange for nothing will also become like unto its own treasure.

May this be like unto a poem to you, half remembered until you need a comfort.

My dad gave me some Ancients for Christmas. Very cool stuff. One unidentifiable, one Bronze Mycenean, one Celtic denarius type coin, and a small silver stud likely from a shield. I keep them in a little silver pill box.

scrounging each nook and cranny

I'll admit to having my own share
of searching the recliner chairs
hoping to find some spare change
buried treasure that's hiding there.
Oh, sure there were lots of times
I had so much money to spare
and if a quarter fell out of my pocket
at that time I might not have cared.
But in hard times with pockets empty
and a pantry that doesn't have food
those jingling found coins in my pocket
to me, sound pretty darn good.

>My disdain for the United States Postal Service only grows
End of last summer I was having bullion delivered to my roadside mailbox, without my signature, when it was supposed to be required. As you all know, for insurance purposes. The next time I was expecting a delivery I ran down to my mailbox just in time as that lazy bitch was about to stuff 40oz into the box. I said "hey, need me to sign for that"? She says "oh, I was just gonna sign for you and leave it in your mailbox for you". Fucking lazy cunt couldn't be bothered to DRIVE up the driveway and knock on the door. I called the post office to let them know what was going on and it won't be happening anymore, and it hasn't. Still a little nervous. Have my first 1oz gold due to arrive shortly.

I live out in the middle of nowhere, and no lost packages. The fact that our mail carrier has a route in which she doesn't even walk, but drives the whole thing and can't drive her fat ass up the driveway is what pisses me off. That and the fact that my mail carrier was forging my name and voiding my insurance if for some chance someone jacked my mailbox.

I haven’t been around long enough, obviously its face value multiple fluctuates based on spot price (and condition to an extent). But a few years ago was it fairly underpriced vs bullion for the equivalent silver weight? Did it trade significantly under spot? It’s pretty expensive online but I’ve been able to get it at 19 face for dimes or 20 face for everything else at a recurring coin show near me. Which isn’t bad in this environment

>Polygamy is outlawed.
Then this would mean that Christianity is against the law. What does that mean to you?
Marriage and virginity and adultery and fornication are not as you think. Marriage of the state has no true meaning. It is a business arrangement. You can use this business arrangement to your own ends. You can ignore the law and suffer the consequences. Christians who go to jail are rewarded. In the USA, only the man is jailed as it is considered a transgression against the woman. But imprisoning the man is a transgression against the women, who are denied their man.
In simplest terms, even the very act of insemination forms the bond of marriage, true marriage. The semen will cause in the woman changes that make her respond to you. When a virgin, this will bond them to you in ways you can hardly fathom as a man. Fornication, however, adulterates the bond of a woman and makes her go off her set course. Forgiveness can help here.
