Yeah I have a pretty fucking good idea of whats going on. I was talking to a buddy the other day who does private wealth management and I asked what his client sentiment was. He told me everyone is enthusiastic about the price action (these are the same people who were up his ass non stop when price was dropping losing their minds because they were so clueless).
I still think price can push higher but short term I wouldn't expect to see anything above $25k and even that's a bit of a stretch

open interest peaked in october/november, there was almost 3x the amount of money in the futures markets then than there was when btc was at ATHs. a lot of those people got destroyed by FTX.
your theory is sound, even now theres still about 2x the number of people/money in the futures markets than the last run up to ATHs so if thats ever going to happen again then we need a few more big sweeps like november 5th-8th or this past weeks bobo massacre.
