The dirty secret is that crypto is completely unbannable.

It is the worst thing imaginable for nation states and central banks to have decentralised currency - it completely removes them from their power and makes them again servants of the people. They have lived like kings for hundreds of years becuase they could control money.

Don't you think they would have immediately banned it if they could? They simply cannot. They can halt it, sure, by taking down centralised exchanges. They can make banks stop taking payments, slowly, as if they do it too fast people will catch on.

But as long as it exists, money will flow into crypto. Eventually it will dethrone every central bank in the world, and they will have no choice but to hold it as collateral to their own, inferior currencies.
