so this is an update
we're getting very, very fucking close
i was wrong because i thought it'd take us another month or two to get there, didn't think we'd be at its doorstep in 24 hours
we break this, and the bear market is officially over
i almost think it's too soon, took us 470 days from top to break it last cycle, we're at around 430 days from top now
however need to factor in that we got a double top and a lot of people consider April 2021 as the technical top, not November 2021

i don't think any bit of news can get BTC either above or below the line at this point
it will just happen or not happen, BTC at these times is a volatile beast
i can't imagine the amount of money on the sidelines that is FOMOing in right now, literally hundreds of millions of dollars from people that made bank last bull run

>>53245707
It'll bounce off the line regardless. It's overbought.
But anons always need some sort of reason for why the technicals play out when they do, so there it is.

>>53245766
this pump has been too violent and fast for this point in the cycle - agree it'll get rejected off the line if it gets there over the next day or so.

btc crabbing between 25k and 40k this year if the line is broken. what do you think op?

>> No.53245879

>>53245850
if it breaks, it'll go to low 20s but then retest the line and hopefully stay above it
think likely scenario in 2023 is btc ranges between around $22k and $30k, $40k is a bit too high

BTC at fair value next halving should be around $32-$35k

>> No.53246010

>>53245879
it didnt retest in 2019 tho
and do you mean next bullrun high btc at 32k or at halving date?

>> No.53246065

>>53246010
true, it doesn't need to retest
but i think that because it feels a bit soon, it will retest this time
the price in April 2024 at halving is important, i think at that point BTC should be around $35k
next bull run i believe BTC will hit $120k conservatively, $120k-$150k is what i think is very likely

the thing is ftx was such a huge event it would be difficult to top that in terms of downward pressure. once you go down alot theres only so far down we can go before all it takes is a little bit of good news to turn things around completely. things happen in crypto faster than people realise

Nothingburger if you actually read the article:

"The Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday charged crypto firms Genesis and Gemini with allegedly selling unregistered securities in connection with a high-yield product offered to depositors.

Gemini, a crypto exchange, and Genesis, a crypto lender, partnered in February 2021 on a Gemini product called Earn, which touted yields of up to 8% for customers.

According to the SEC, Genesis loaned Gemini users’ crypto and sent a portion of the profits back to Gemini, which then deducted an agent fee, sometimes over 4%, and returned the remaining profit to its users. Genesis should have registered that product as a securities offering, SEC officials said."

Neither Genesis nor Gemini are in any position for a legal fight. Genesis is probably the most vulnerable and most damaging target Gensler could have picked for throttling crypto.

why should the btc price give a fuck about what the SEC might do to two businesses? bitcoin is objectively not classified as a security so none of this is my problem as a btchad

They're going after some small fry exchange and their ponzi lender for shenanigans with their own shitty exchange token, similar to ftt with ftx. All the biggest exchanges anyone actually cares about are located outside the usa anyway. Bobos are trying to make this sound like they're going after them for selling some major alts.

I'm bearish on the trend and I think $25k is very much in the realm of possibilities.
When you have Dave Ramsey and Time magazine mocking crypto it doesn't mean the macro bottom is in but it could mean the local bottom is in and I wouldn't be surprised to see tons of FOMO at $20k pushing price higher. All the retards like Plan B and Chimp Zoo will come out of the woodwork to proclaim victory and mock their doubters (after being wrong for more than a year straight). At that point I'll be expecting us to drop to new lows, anywhere from $12k down to $8k seems reasonable. By that point I would imagine all the liquidity that's piled up from here on out will have been removed, retarded permabulls will over leverage and longs will get rekt propelling price downwards with no one to absorb because all the $15k buyers jumped distributed on you niggers at $20-25k almost doubling their money.
This shit is so predictable but everyone is going to fall for it nonetheless.

Also thinking about this, I don't think it's healthy to go there this fast and violent. Probably won't hold.
