What do you use to receive fiat?

>> No.53244632

>>53244142
bank, typically wire or zelle
theres a few other options like strike and ACH but most the volume is in zelle

Do you use your main bank account for this? Not knowing your counter party seems like a massive security risk. You could be accused of facilitating money laundering and have your bank account closed.

Will I get flagged by my bank if I start receiving funds from frens on the internet? I've been looking into this as a way to make money with money, but I don't want to go to jail or be locked out of tradfi forever

That is the case with centralised exchanges too. Banks often lock your account for transacting with huge well-know crypto exchanges. In addition, FTX was one massive political money laundering operation, so its not like you are getting more moral somehow by using a centralised exchange, or reducing counterparty risk.
Just keep your transactions small and regular, have more than one bank account in case your main bank throws a shit-fit for a while.
Build relations with legitimate traders, avoid too-good-to-be-true deals. Trust by default, but look for reasons not to trust your counterpartys.

its actually pretty nice, everyones been friendly in chat so far, ran into a few people multiple times already
the UI is decent once you explore it a bit, its buy order system is a bit weird, by default it has you pick a % premium/discount, and your order price will track with the current market, but I prefer fixed price orders, because volatility should bring my order to the top of the book sooner or later
>>53245545
>keep your transactions small and regular
oops, ive probably made it pretty obvious to my bank that i sold a ton of crypto then im furiously sending zelle payments
