When the BTC dump occurs, don't go blaming it on some news or other irrelevant bullshit.

Back in late November after going over 90 points, it then took 20 days for it to crawl up to 100 points - and when it finally reached 100 on Dec 14th, it immediately dumped.

In stark contrast, now it's already fully at 100 -- since two days ago. So yeah, time for the dump.

can you tell me why it was 100 on April 27th, 2020 and then we proceeded to pump from 7.7k to 60k?

Reminder that Stoch RSI can correct and has corrected with no downtrend in price.

No, not all all. But if you want to understand why the market jumped on April 27th, 2020, the covid dump would be a good place to start. Similar things happened in every market in every country.

The R in RSI stands for Relative. The S for Strength. It's Relative Strength. BTCUSD had been in a sustained rally from $3880 since March 13th up to $7807 on April 27th. The price movements from April 28th to May 7th were, thanks to the three red days during that time (April 30th, May 3rd and May 4th), relative to the preceding price movements much weaker - in other worlds of a lower relative strength. That's of course not unique to a rally; you can find the exact same phenomena during crashes, near the bottom of the Stoch RSI. If the price has gone down a lot in a sustained fashion and there's a few green days near the bottom of the crash, when lets say 95% of the crash is over with, those green days will cause the Stoch RSI to in that moment have less relative downward strength compared to the strength than it had during the 95% of the crash. The price continues to fall the remaining 5% and due to those green days causing the market situation to be relatively less powerful in movement, the Stoch RSI then appears to either flatline or go up. That's why you always trade the Stoch RSI according to the market situation, whether a crash or sell-off is occurring or whether a rally is occurring - how you read the Stoch RSI in bearish market is the opposite of how you read it in a bullish market, it works the same of course but in reverse: most easily illustrated on the larger timeframes (weekly, monthly) where during bear markets it can stay near the bottom (not at 0) for a very long time and the price falls, which naturally doesn't happen in bull markets where on the same timeframes it stays near the top (not at 100) and the price goes up. So you never trade it blindly without taking the market situation into account, especially not on the larger timeframes. But even on smaller timeframes during a bear market, apart from during bullish rallies (yes bear markets have them), the tendency/bias of the Stoch RSI will be downwards, and the reverse in a bull market.
