The event will not be the real cause (as I'm sure some of you are smart enough to understand), but will be presented as the cause; ie it will be blamed, and thought of as the cause by most civilians. The very moment you hear the "nuclear" news that's your cue to take immediate action to protect your funds, although for a few stocks by then it will already be too late.
