Even with the lightning network, how is 7 tps enough to ultimately onboard the world and periodically settle/rebalance channels?
If 99% of people can only use BTC on LN in a custodial way, then isn't that quite the flaw?
Is there any solution to this? I might not understand everything here.

Bitcoin and ETH are memes

there is only 1 coin that can truly handle all the money

and guess what? it's made by a company that actually already has business in over a 100 countries and is closely working with banks for years

I run a lightning node and very very rarely need to actually settle on chain. Even when I do I can usually wait for whenever congestion is low. 7tps is more than enough.

Lightning is a joke and Bitcoin won't scale. It'll stay like this, custodial lightning and slow L1. Kind of sad, really.

7tps and LN both sucks (except that LN effectively anonymizes coins which is good) but the ultimate redpill is that it doesn't matter. Number goes up is what matters.
