- Cyclists get in accidents all the fucking time. I've seen way more badly injured cyclists than drivers. I think i've seen 3 dead car occupants in a crash one time and I've seen 2 dead cyclists and countless other injured. Even i broke my shin falling off my bike.

- "Healthy people don't buy medicine." Barely had anything to do with exercise. Exercise is good but in terms of long term health outcomes the data is equivocal. Cycling alone is associated with disc herniation, prostate issues and low bmd. But really more to the point all the exercise in the world won't prevent diseases you're just going to have. Someone can't cycle away ulcerative colitis.

Outdated term. The purpose of our global social struture including the economy is to increase the value of existing assets in the short term. This is why we have immigration, taxes and unemployment benefits. Literally all other policies in the world can also be derived if you follow this lead. Any policital action that goes against this motivation is heavily punished (see China lockdowns, previous British prime minister, sanctions etc.), which is why democracy - as well as other political ideologies I would say - doesn't really exist anymore. All parties in pretty much all countries feel the same, left or right, because ultimately the market chooses the policies and not politicians. And this is why there is such a big push against the health movement. Healthy people bring down asset values as OP describes, and the market works against that. The only reason some healthy people exist is because a part of the market benefits from them. But that part is much smaller than the one benefiting from unhealthy people.

While I agree that culture matters, genetics will always have an effect. Say you have a certain ethnic group that happens to hit puberty and mature much earlier than another ethnic group. This will cause a disadvantage for the latter in schools. What if a certain ethnic group naturally has higher testosterone levels (which is known to cause aggression).
