this is probably a LARP but unskilled hourly work is a close approximation of the lesser circles of hell. i worked in a warehouse for a few months where being more than 2 minutes late would automatically give you a point for tardiness. there was a single punch clock for ~50 people to use at shift change.

Mmm I love my boss owning the company instead of me and the other workers. So glad for all this market efficiency

it's already gone that far. wage theft is estimated to be the greatest form of theft in america -- employers stealing wages from employees. kek.

If you're going to work like a dog you might as well work in sales. Nobody cares what you do as long as you make legitimate sales, and you'll be paid a lot better than waging at a place that micromanages your time.

it could have been worse, I tried to look intimidating, and I said "move fat fuck" when I was going to the bathroom, it turns out that the person I said that to was a friend of my boss, and I almost got fired, now I just stay in my office without wanting to go out even for breaks, at least from here I can continue watching calmly how solana keeps growing without someone telling me that I am not doing anything

You'd still have to put in 14 hours a day at the dildo factory regardless of who owned the company, and you might see a $0.05 wage increase after your old bosses salary was shared out among you all.
