What was the normie sentiment in 2018 during that bullrun/bear market?

How similar Is it today in terms of the extremely negative sentiment towards crypto? Is it different this time or is this the same rigmarole?

it's different. 2018 felt more bleak.
in 2017 there were way more hype on the way up. and the market was completely retarded in a non-self aware fashion. the 2020 bullrun with all the doge coins and shit was self aware and there wasn't as much hype. we all knew it wouldnt be long before a crash, and then it came.
2017 was way more brutal, and the 2018 bear market was more soul draining in my opinion.

there wasnt that many of them around and we were balls deep in chainlink, which out performed everything

There was less traffic and the quality was even worse. Cryptofags were even more pompous and acted like they owned the board (muh /g/). Then /smg/ stroke back and the eponymous general thread now stands astride /biz/ like a colossus.
