That is truly wild how they sneakily debased the money right under the public's nose... I guess they were just as insidious back then as they are today. Btw Did anyone else notice that amidst all of Trudeau's gun bans, he actually loosened gun regs for certain ppl? He legalised prohibited weapons IE assault rifles and machine guns for Bank of Canada security personnel... I wish I was joking.

i'm talking about 236k redditors, then I rounded it up to 250k with channers(probably too generous). Then divided the annual supply of 1 BILLION oz mined per year by that many users.

You guys realize that silver is not rare, right? You can find galena deposits in your backyard. The price is directly tied to the cost of extraction like copper.
It's really quite sad, you know the old 4chan would be buying some good shit - and there's a couple based anon's in here like p7 plat boy and element box boy.
Instead, you got duped into the reddit rock. What a coincidence that this "organic silver mania" starts up again after the gamestop shit they pulled. I wonder who owns the most "shiny"? JP Morgan?? Take it from them apes!!!

There are two reasons for the 1:100 weight ratio (for every ounce of gold, you get 100 ounces of silver).
>the gold:silver price ratio of 1:80, which is way larger than the historical 1:16 and the current mining ratio of 1:8; you'll have way higher gains with silver than with gold when that ratio goes to a more natural state; you'll also currently pay roughly equal amounts of fiat currency for both of them, but you'll get a bit more silver to help the squeeze happen sooner; even if you don't like silver, at least you pay roughly the same amount for gold if you like it more
>even if they manipulate the shit out of silver (let's say they keep the price of silver at the same level, but they allow gold to moon so the gold:silver price ratio becomes something ridiculous like let's say 1:300) you'll convert your gold to silver; so from a 1 ounce of gold and 100 ounces of silver, you'll have 0 ounces of gold and 400 ounces of silver means you literally quadrupled your silver stack and there's no way that demand can ever be filled without raising the silver price astronomically; you'll use that 400 ounces of silver to gain even more gold when the ratio definitely becomes lower
This ratio is ideal right now because you'll have big gains (with silver) and there's no way for them to prevent that (with gold).

Silver will never ever be rare (never) - and even if SHTF and it does become hard-to-obtain, the demand will be near ZERO because all manufacturing will shut down. If you really think that the S will HTF, then why don't you play DayZ or watch a fuckin zombie movie or something an realize what's valuable in those scenarios. Hmmm maybe binoculars? A big backpack? Buy in price for good? What does that even mean?
I buy rather consistently anything under $25. I am not particularly interested in trying to time PMs as I think despite the manipulation we can easily go and park above $30 and then we'll all be feeling the squeeze of being priced out relative to our wages, we'll essentially become materially poorer in our income. (despite our investments paying off). I have a nice stack, but outside of meme stocks I do prefer a bulk of my portfolio being in silver because I know in my heart of hearts I am buying good value here. I don't need to worry about swing trading or moving in and out of investments or bankruptcy etc.
At one point I had a small portfolio chasing 10% yield monthly income investments, but I often find myself at odds with my PM thesis. It's like, what is the point in earning a small yield when ultimately I want to use it to chase PMs. At some point the bottom can fall out and I might not have the time to move it to where I want is to be. I don't want to try to be too cheeky and think I can outsmart or be faster than what is coming.

Waiting for a complete collapse could take a fucking decade for all we know, the agreements being made behind the scenes could last multiple years to keep things humming along. I also keep SOME money in the market to speculate on PMs that also pay dividends which seems like an ultra comfy place to be to ride the line while we wait for the inevitable.

>green gold?
This is usually when a shyster sells you some brass jewelry and says it's gold. After a few weeks of skin contact, it turns green.

yea, that's why it's probably a horrible idea. And the better idea is to make it brass or copper and then artificially antique it to a green.

But I think that's too much work and a brass or copper clover would look funny.

It says its only green when compared to a yellow gold. Which is what we would have on the cross.
I think for another project it might work. But I just like the plain gold cross on the back in gold for the gilded. The green gold clovers would throw off the balance.

I have never seen green gold irl, but I suspect the difference is so subtle that its use in obviating the clovers as such would be lost.
Also, more 'colors' of gold would (I imagine) require more processing and another $10 or whatever per coin. I don't think the return on investment is there.
