it's not about futures anon, i was just trying to show the S&P movement for a recent morning. here's TSLA. same shit different toilet. main point is intraday doesn't have gaps in highly active highly liquid stocks, and stop losses actually work. then you just look at pivot highs and lows (i like the heiken ashi candles for this, as you can see makes it a lot clearer to see the pivots) and see whether you're making higher highs or lower lows, then get in on reversals of pullbacks that don't break trend. i'll also consider taking reversals of equal highs and lows, but if i see that and want to trade it i'll be a lot greedier and try to buy the bottom and sell the top with a tight stop loss.

it's so obvious and common sense yet everyone is like "omg day trading is so dangerous 90% lose money AAAAAAAA!!!" but i mean just look at this shit. it's literally just higher highs higher lows or lower highs lower lows and then getting in and using a stop loss and a target price.

You are being really stupid m8. Stocks and futures trade for different purposes and with different liquidity. On an intraday chart the chart of KOLD looks just as good as your ES chart on days with high volume. Daily stock charts have gaps because they are only based on the RTH data because that is when there is volume. It is just necessary for there to be gaps because there is literally no volume after hours and premarket for most stocks.

Also if you are trading ES you should be watching SPY more closely. And the major stocks in the index AAPL MSFT TSLA AMZN as they will be leading the direction being the stocks with the highest volume and leading the markets through arbitrage.

Your post is just asinine. Enjoy your futures trading but be realistic about things.

It did 10%, something we have seen happen twice in a couple weeks but to the downside, so it didnt seem too outrageous, today it just keeps bleeding downward since open.
