I just got a letter from a debt collector.
I had a lease debt from an apartment I rented like 6 years ago. I left early and they tried to charge me for an additional 4 months. I just never paid it.
Damaged my credit score but it recovered and has basically disappeared. The debt was $1600

I get a random letter from some goon asking for $900 to make it go away.

I'm going to offer them $50.

Stock market never bottoms before a recession. Recession confirmed in second half of 2023. October wasn't the bottom. Meaning the bottom occurs between now thru June. Meaning you should be DCAing now. Meaning you should definitely not buy puts for the second half of the year.

The irony is that gas furnaces/stoves are better for the environment than their electric counterparts. Electric heat has to go through a fossil fuel powerplant at <40% thermal efficiency (thanks Carnot!) before reaching your home. Roundtrip, probably only 20% of the fossil fuel gets converted to usable heat. If you burn the gas directly at your place of residence you can use 100% of the heat energy. The people who write these laws are greta-tier retards who just want to virtue signal.

Did the 90s actually end in 2007 and dotcom crash was in the middle of it? Are we in the middle of QE easy money world still? I'm thinking the 2030 meme is actual end of 2010s doom internet economy and we have 6-7 years of boring but comfy crab...

Bond yields are a shitty indicator because anyone with half a brain knows you can still get better returns out of the stock market, even in a bear market. I don't know why you would believe Powell this time after the Fed said one thing and did another every other time. M2 being negative just means the rate of increase in supply was lower.

It will. If the fed is paying out 4% now to bond holders theyll use that to invest in equities anyway. thats part of the new money creation. But i bet we see a change once the current bond holders get out from their junky bonds from early 2021 and shift them over to new ones. Then theyll be less underwater and be more amendable to risk on. But not happening until its definite all clear that rates are done.

>What do you fly?
Just started my student license. It depends on your training fleet available but most schools have a cessna 172 or 182 for newbies. To get a license is typically about 20k. That number is usually quoted but thats pre covid boomer meme. I think its more now. But once you get a student license you can fly any piston single engine by yourself but only during clear days. So you do IFR license. Then you are set really. Can get a single engine piston and cruise around. To get jets and others yeah you will need other things like a multi engine, commercial, aerobatics, etc. But the good part is its pay as you go. So you can do 1 lesson and then come back and pay. But yeah id not commit to it until you have a pile of cash because if you stop flying you forget it all pretty easily. So you need to fly regularly to keep up skills. Thats why i stopped for the moment. Work changed and im stuck at 14 hours so figured ill just restart it soon.
