My parents barely have a working understanding of what the difference is between the type of accounts that they have (401k), the name of the company that manages their account, and the vaguely hazy details of how the index funds in their 401k accounts work. Trying to explain to them what the fuck a blockchain is would be meaningless, and "it's internet money that only exists on computers" is something that they don't take seriously.
