Beware of the gold 20$ coin. Back when it was still minted quite alot of people liked them here on the continent but you know america is far away so supply was not great.
Belgians came up with the idea of making their own 20$. Usually their gold content is alright but some of them are heavily underweight.
Americans minted their $ belgian fakes are casts. Learn the difference it could save you lots of money

It's hard to tell the difference just by looking. Cast coins have softer features than minted stuff. Edge is less defined.
Most reliable is to measure it's dimensions and weight.
Weight should be 33,4g, diameter 34mm, width 2mm

Found these pieces, belonged to my great great grandmother. I have a piece of paper of authenticity for the gold, image I took is 7MB for some reason so I’ll have to retake but here’s the pieces I found I think you fellas would like to see

Paid $25 for the note, I only paid that much because I've been searching well over a year for one and all the ones I see online are blatant counterfeits. Seems to be the going market rate for authentic notes.
I know the plastic protector and sticker don't ACTUALLY mean anything with its authenticity, it was just kind of something I had to snuff out in person. Seems real, paper is same material and consistency as authentic lower-value notes I have. The copper security strip that runs along the "N" and "S" also looks good.
100 trillion notes are a lot more expensive because collector value + even more counterfeiting.
I also felt more open to buying the note since the three halves I got were $12 a piece, and for a NICE Benjamin (at least AU55), A cool GW proof commem and a Barber $12 for each is really good, I'm a happy camper.

But why do they have so little silver in them? There are goldbacks that have 1/20th of an oz of gold so about 100 dollars of gold.

Why couldn't the regular silverback be something like 1/100 or 1/20? Being 1/1000 means that you're paying a massive premium for them. I understand that they want to keep them with how goldbacks are valued but this doesn't work with how little silver is valued at.

I had something from an electronic company that got delayed at a hub in transit. I called the company to get a refund and they said give them some time to sort it out. I didn't get word back from them but the package arrived a few days later, about a week late altogether. You just need to be on top of these companies.

Now, here's a spot I'm wondering about.
As you can see, that "beach" is all fine sand, which is not a good sign. But it's the most exposed spot and at flood, it should get some eddies.
Plus, there's plenty of erosion (1) and potholes (2,3). (1) is very shallow and clean, but (2), (3) and (4) are filled, also with some visible pebbles, but mostly, its fine sands, even silt, as (5).
I guess I'll just have to clean out (2) or (3). Probably can discard the first few inches of sand (unless a test pan says otherwise) and then I just have to see how deep down it goes and what it brings.

Obviously and any other normal water level (currently level is really low), holes 2 and 3 are flooded and at normal flow speed, the outcrop is shielding the beach behind it, so only the finest stuff gets behind it and thus deposited. Heavy flood should see flow over it, which should change the deposition environment considerably, but then it all gets buried with fines on most days.

Got a 2011 silver proof set today, got every silver state and territory quarter now more than halfway through every silver ATB quarter. Just an okay year. Gettysburg and Vicksburg are honestly kindof bland sculpts. Especially vicksburg, it's so flat and lifeless. Glacier is a nice idea, but too hard to really make out the details on a standard sized quarter. I'm sure the 5ozt version looks incredible (I think I remember photo bro posting it one time). Chickasaw is also a nice one in theory, but the big problem is the shitty "frosting" technique the mint used during this era just loves to hide small details, and this coins is VERY reliant on small details such as bricks in the bridge or the trees. The fields are nice.
Clear winner this year is Olympic. The Elk looks great, the sculpt of the mountain and the trees are exquisite, and I always love the fields of coins being used as water. Legitimately a great quarter. There's nothing much to say about the other stuff included, the Sacagawea dollar this year commemorates the Wanpanoag treaty from 1621, meaning we're 402 years removed from when some Injuns thought selling land for beads was a smart decision. Neat I guess.

I would imagine for most people anytime they are approached by someone on the street its one of three people, a homeless person, a scammer, or a charity/fundraising. I tempted my chance a bunch of times the past few months with so called cheap "sterling silver" items, because why not. Each time i had to send it back. At best it was electroplated, at worst it wasn't even metal lol.

After returning about 30 items, you simply stick to what's working (stuff normally priced and with clear pics). Even if it didn't cost you a penny bcuz ebay is favoring the buyers so heavily, at some point you are fed up wasting time at the post office returning packages, even if it's not on your dime (thus punishing the bad seller a bit).

And yes, you should return the fake coin and carve fake on it. Seller can't say shit anyway, his balls are controlled by ebay. Take the most expensive option for shipping too, since it's on the seller's dime. Make him learn your time isn't something he can freely waste with no consequences.
