Sergey is a Firstmark fucker

Yes he believes in changing the world
Yes he believes in democratizing trust
But he also believes in competition

And he wants to win
Data feeds, proof-of-reserves, verified randomness
These only go up in price as they achieve market dominance
And become the required standard
Every bit of value enabled by CCIP will eventually become part of Link
Same for DECO, same for FSS, same for every L2 that wants to run on trusted nodes

You idiots don't understand the decision that has already been made: sacrifice short term hype for long term utter domination.

2023 is the year when the world realizes Chainlink already owns it.

Build something with a TWAP oracle? Prepare to be liable for not using Chainlink
Build something that doesn't use POR? Prepare to face deposit exodus until you bend the knee
Freeloading on public price feeds? Prepare for bigger blue chips to use ultra-low-latency, ultra low gas fee prices while you're left in the cold...until you bend the knee

Want to monetize the trillions of dollars in legacy enterprise systems? If you don't use CCIP you're risking shareholder liability not to mention a strangely well-equipped blackhat group that just happens to cripple everyone outside the Chainlink walled garden

Everything thus far has been carrot
And the carrot isn't going away
But once the third pillar of the stack is live
Expect carrots for those making Link stakers rich
And the stick for everyone else

Even the fudders are acting weird this time around

It's really too bad they chose to go about trying to remedy the situation by arguably making it worse for themselves. Most of us have had our resolve hardened no end by the continual hateful fud, and are LESS likely than before to consider letting go of any Link. Add to this the mental and spiritual anguish they put themselves through, and the terrible karma they encourage, and it's a clusterfuck for fudders. It's difficult to have any sympathy.

I think DECO is very slept on right now, it can open up 100x more avenues / systems that aren't secure enough right now to just throw into external adapter (since it is a singular data source it can't easily be aggregated to increase security)

This, of all the I'd solutions Chainlink is the only one in the industry with a trusted enough name to be really used as of now.
The monopoly they are building will come into the spotlight one day.
I will sell one day, but that'll be when Bloomberg is tracking chainlink price on the screen with btc
