Make it aware to them after you've secured a job that pays at least that much or more. Bring it to their attention. They refuse to be fair, give your energy to the employer who will accept your proposition. If they raise it, politely thank the potential employer for their time and count your Benjamins. Invest half of the pay raise you received over a year.

Well that depends on how much more you stand to make with the new employer, but if you stand up for yourself and convince the employer you're working for to raise your pay, they might respect you more, or look for the next opportunity to offload you. I gave you a general idea, but I don't know your specific situation. Just make them work for it if they know losing you would be a big enough loss.
