my parents want me to stop running an online business because they don't understand it. They want me to get a minimum wage job in real life. I don't want to because I make more money doing this.

They think my online business may be illegal or whatever because it involves cryptocurrency.(selling software and receiving crypto payments) How do I get them to believe it's okay? could I get a lawyer to explain my business to them so they know it's okay?

I had this issue with my parents when I was younger running different game communities. I would usually rake in 2-6k, but once I get the whole family's PayPal banned due to address linking all the accounts yeh they wanted me to stop & get a wagie job like them. (earning $9 a hour lol)

You will have to just tell them you stopped when you haven't. That's the only way from my XP. If they accept your work, start expecting them to ask you for money & favors. Best to not tell them anything & pretend.

They probably don't actually believe this very strongly and it's mostly a manipulative power play and trying to make you live the way they see as correct and normal. It is useless to try to convince them they are wrong about something that's just a pretense to begin with.

The only sustainable fix is to move out. Until you can afford that, obviously don't cave and get a minimum wage job as that will kill your potential for growth and keep you dependent on them, but do whatever else you can to stall and ignore them.
