Anyone with a sucessful e-commerce? When was your turning point?
I will hear absolutely everything and appreciate every single suggestion or critic no matter how harsh.

I built a hybrid e-commerce that sells fitness clothing (mostly for women), I have my own stock and found a partner that does dropshipping for me with my logo in the box. The system works really well but I have no sales, and my only 2 leads lost interest.

My Instagram has 100 followers that came from paid ads, but it seems I can't grow "organically". I'm aware of the their harsh rules so I don-t do anything shady that will shadowban me or whatever. Being so new, Instagram doesn't allow me use their Shopping function yet because I have no account presence, but I can use Facebook Shopping despite having 3 followers, lol, is it worth investing in it?

I also created a Google Ads campaign, but I can't share any metrics because I started it yesterday. Which Ad platform is worth investing more? Google Ads or META?

I'm very optimistic about the future and I have been working really hard, despite it being extremely difficult for me since I have no prior experience with digital marketing and online sales whatsoever. Yesterday I sent a free sample to a Instagram hottie, I hope it will bring me some return. I would love to share my website and Instagram so I could hear any critics or suggestions, I'm completely alone in this project, but unfortunately that would break anonimity.

For you guys that have your sucessful bussinesses, what made it "click"? When was the turning point? Please share it to me, I don't want to remain in poverty.

It's ok for small businesses. You get undercut to hell by operators out of Shenzhen, China, when you reach a certain scale though.

Sorry, what exactly is ok for small businesses? What part are you refering to? But yes, it's very difficult to compete with chinese prices, but at least my material has a higher quality.

Failed former dropshipper here - here's the brutal blackpill about dropshipping:
> Everyone out there (yes, the normies) already know what dropshipping is, so yes they know about the extremely cheap chinese shit on Alibaba and Aliexpress, along with all of the other sneaky workaround tactics (sourcing other suppliers, marketing on fb and insta to make your products appear legit, etc.) Your average shopper in 2023 is not nearly as stupid as they were in say 2016.
> Also remember that paid ads are far more expensive these days, which will make your profit margins with dropshipping (if you ever make any sales) extremely small, which makes dropshipping no longer a viable business model as a whole. A gigantic waste of time and really, it's just a giant gamble these days considering the expensive ads and not every clicked ad will convert into a sale.

You have to ask yourself this question if you're determined to succeed with dropshipping:

> Why the fuck would anyone want my products when they can just go to ebay or amazon and find something just as good or even better for the same price or cheaper, with fast free shipping? Everyone out there knows how big of a scam dropshipping already is, so I need to figure out what ebay and amazon don't already offer that I do much better.

Anon get on tiktok now. You will burn through your marketing funds like crazy if you are only running ads on fb and instagram. I have personally worked with brands that are now shifting to more UGC on tiktok and not only are they spending waaaay less on ads but the roi is way higher.

Share your website and IG so I can take a look and reach out to help.

You actually have to provide a value to people. Unique, high value, niche products that no one thinks about. Ideally design your own product from scratch, patent/trademark/copyright it all and put it on amazon if you want quick traction. Pray the chinks don’t target you because even if they can’t steal your patent, they can get you banned and make a shitty knockoff that skirts your IP will thousands of 5 star chink reviews in a couple months.

This.
Look I'll speak for myself as a degenerate consooomer, I've come to love that I can get literally any item that caters to my specific fetishes and fandoms. So Pic related, I might have my wife wear these during anal sex so I can live out my fantasy of being Garrus while Commander Shepard finally "gives up the captain's seat." It's literally just a pair of black socks but my broken coomer brain will pay $20 for them because a 15 year old video game logo is on it.

it takes few years of patience and work so come back here in 2025 and tell me your results, remember success is purely psychological - never compare yours to anyone else, it took me 2 years to start getting sales (similar niche but I make and ship my own shit - basically been one person for 5 years now)
99% of lazy faggots on here will find millions of reason not to start or stay in business for over 2 years - hence why they will continue to be fucking losers and tell you how nothing makes money anymore and how would they've have done it blah blah blah - stay away from faggots like that - go blaze trails make mistakes and learn from them as young man - dont be afraid to fail - only through failures we learn

Friend, listen here. I am have a newly set up e-commerce store myself.

First and foremost, learn how to add value. Only then you would be able to add a markup on your products based on this added value. Simply reselling aliexpress level products won't do it. People are increasingly getting more accustomed to ordering from china as well as brands like Shein will take not only small dropshippers out, but big businesses like Zara out of business. Personally, I am running a print-on-demand store myself and I am shipping them abroad. In this way I add value by offering a web based app for customers to customise products and printing their design on cheap imported Chinese phone cases. It's been 5 months and I still can not support my self from this business. December I made 1300 euros in profit.

Second, keep in mind it is very hard to separate customers from their money. Income disparity is becoming increasingly more stark. Corporatism is destroying the middle class and the purchasing power as we used to know it. People have little money for useless shit. If you are selling something it is best to target people's insecurities. Show directly why they need your product. A person who is balding is likely to give a lot of money and impulsively go for a product that would help his hair, however, a person who is fine with their current fitness clothing would be more hesitant in buying another. Still, keep in mind that tactical sectors have proportionally more competition.

In terms of marketing, use TikTok. Nothing beats it right now. This is the only place I am making profit on my ads. I don't even bother with instagram at this point. I just gave Snapchat a chance but it is still shit compared to TikTok.

The topic is so broad that I can go on forever. Last piece of advice is be dynamic. Not everything we try works out. In fact most e-commerce business attempts fail rather than succeed. Spend a few intense weeks on a business. See how it goes. If it is not promising look for a different project and work on your old business on the side if you have the time. Most business you would be able to liquidate fairly easy. E-commerce stores do no tend to be capital intensive.

Just remember. The lamb needs to evade the wolf all the time. The wolf needs to catch the lamb once. Same with business. You only need 1 of it to be successful. Keep trying, keep active be smart and you will get there. Good look.
