So zoomers don't have parents paying for their expenses anymore and need to go out to get a $8/hour job if they don't want to starve in an alley. They'll learn what life is about.

How though, say your average Boomer is in their early 60's, nearly ready to retire. They as a cohort are the single largest voting bloc in the west and have voted consistently in their own interests before (Strong unions, cheap college and high minimum wages in the mid 60's-mid 70's, Regan-Thatcher and loose regulations in the 80's and early 90's to benefit mature workers, expanded Obamacare and Social Security benefits in the 10's), their entire lives have been spent in the Pax Americana bull run, where they were positioned to aquire assets cheap as young people and then cranked up the leverage 500x to the point where younger generations are unable to begin to aquire assets and because of the Boomers labour is worthless without immense capital to back it. Any Boomer who is poor in his old age deserves it, unless they were in the eastern bloc or a 3rd world shithole, the Boomer's poverty is their own fault, and they're making it the problem of the younger generations that they diddn't have the decency to raise in sufficient quantities or ensure a financial future for because it got in the way of their instant gratification.

My dad was set on retirement from the government 15 years ago, had the old pension and everything. Then in 15 years of boredom he let his alcoholism get the best of him and cheated on my mom. He ran off to Florida and he doesn't think he's going to get JUST'd by a divorce attorney. He had the golden ticket and blew it and will likely have to go back to the wage cage.
