I used to unironically listen to his talkshow on 1110am WBT in Charlotte years ago. I don't live in Charlotte anymore, so I'm not sure if it still airs. Had some good advice, but most of it is just common sense being preached to people who lack any.

The problem is he believes a person can't afford to buy a new Toyota Corolla if they only have a net worth of $999,999. He is a delusional boomer

Fair enough. Kek I won't even debate this, although to be fair, he took callers from all over the US.

Kek on that note, I remember one time he talked a caller into buying a used truck for ~$30,000 when the call initially wanted a new Japanese car for $20,000.

Ramsey's advice is for people who make $30,000/yr but have $45,000 cars. If you're even slightly responsible you can do better. The handful of things that he gets right, living on less than you make, watch your spending and try to budget, don't get into debt, etc isn't his idea. The debt snow ball isn't Ramsey. The zero dollar accounting isn't his idea. Even the baby steps aren't really his idea - financial advisors have been generating listicles like that since forever
