Golden Age of 4chan Coins we are living in.
What we now need is another pre-order or something in the works from any of the mints so we can have a steady influx of meme coins being shipped and produced.
But what I REALLY want to see next is that sword and silver Apu.
But I figure all in due time. And since the production cycles of all the mints are kind of in sync at the moment, it looks like I will have several more coins to look forward to seeing in the next couple months.

Any numisfags who can help me? I just bought a sovereign (Elizabeth, early 70s) from a fairly respectable LCS. Also have a George from the early 20s I bought off apmex.

The george is a little thicker (.1mm) and has a slightly smaller diameter(also about .1mm) than the elIzabeth. The Elizabeth also weighs exactly 8.000 grams, whereas the George is 7.98 or whatever sovereigns are supposed to be.

I would try shopping around at whatever coin stores are in your area as well. A lot of brick and mortar coin stores are either little to no stock or will price gouge you worse than APMEX. But if you don't look, you won't be sure.
I'm lucky that I have one shop that is always lower premiums than anything I can find anywhere else, so pretty much the only time I buy online is if there is a specific design I want.

Depending on where you are, paying with your credit card is actually a smart idea if you are responsible and pay off the debt every month. It does 2 things: 1 for some vendors you get cashback rewards, 2 you build your credit score (both only count if you are in the US though)

Crashing real estate prices because no new money flows in to buy someone else's bags will lead to revaluation of the houses and the banks will ask for higher interest rates. 50% of private wealth in Europe is in real estate, mostly boomers. Housing is a basic need which is hold by multiple owners. Most of food and the distribution of food is controlled by a few companies. Now, the banks have time and they could go on creating money exclusively for military, police and bureaucracy while the rest gets poor quickly because increasing food prices consume a huge percentage of their income/wealth compared to cash rich people who also only need the same amount of food per day. Still, I'm bullish for silver because only few people hold it and it is essential for electric devices. But I am just a small farmer and don't really have insider knowledge. I can only say for sure that fertilizer prices went up the last years, farming wasn't really profitable compared to other meme businesses the last years and at the moment my government plans higher taxes for land owners. While precious metals have industrial applications, they are shiny metals, at the end of the day, and they got widely adopted because their properties make them appealing to humans naturally. However, its value is bestowed upon it by humans, and if people no longer value gold for whatever reason, they won't pay that much for it.
I don't think that gold will depreciate due to the volatility of liquidity getting out of hand in the financial system and central banks hoarding gold, but conceptually, it is possible, since value is memetic. It's more visible with things that don't have universal appeal, like stamps or Pokemon cards, which are tied to a specific generation or two.
More plausibly: gold is money, i.e. a call-option on other people's assets. If assets do not seem like a good investment, then value flows into money, and if they do, then value flows out from money into investments. Money is inherently a defensive asset because risk only exists in it in potentiality, but it of course doesn't do well when there's not much demand for defensive assets. It's hard to capture on a camera but bottom right is much more shiny, with the other two being almost dull in comparison. I didn't notice the difference when I initially got them. I can't be certain about it but I can only assume it's because I've taken the dull two out of their plastic cases whereas I haven't directly touched the other and it's been kept sealed. Is this normal? I'm sure they'll still keep their value as silver but it makes me want to NEVER take this untouched one out of its plastic case to keep it shiny.

Full Sovereigns are 22k gold while the 1/4oz Britannia is 24k gold and are roughly the same gold weight content in both. When it comes to which one is better that's mainly down to preference and the numismatic value that can appreciate over time. For example, I have a 2021 Queen's Beasts Completer that I brought in June for around £1,600. As of now it is around £2,000. Sovereigns are usually a great coin to stack because the premiums are usually the lowest out of all the variant coins meaning it's very liquid. If you've got special designs you can sell them at coin fares with a chunky premium on top, if the right buyer is there.
