Theoretically crypto is a separate financial system but in practice it's still part of the old one. Fuck, there are even banks cropping up *around* crypto despite it supposedly being designed to circumvent banking entirely. Banking is a natural consequence of money, and as such crypto is nothing more than a new wart on Bretton Woods' backside.
