It's associated more so with eth than btc. With the recent eth run, coupled with turbulence from btc and bch, eth is looking very attractive for people who want stability. Plus with mainnet just a quarter away, you can't lose money in this coin in the short term.

Link's going to be a steady increase and then take off Q2 2018. There's very little news on Link, which keeps the price low, but as more and more news trickles in throughout 2018 it'll break $1 and then from there it's MOON.

I might be seen things, but some coins seem to "magically" keep their fiat value during such events (high BTC ups and downs), while other's just drop, probably because people move away into BTC or some other coin.
My guess is, that coins that keep up (or down) their fiat value are currently being heavily worked by bots. Just a guess though.

this. I don't trust the volume or anything to do with binance. Even given how big its gotten there's still a lot of obvious fuckery going on and Okex isn't big enough to mitigate it (with link and many other alts only on it).

Sergey just followed Poloniex on twitter and doesn't follow any other exchanges so hopefully something is in the works there.

thats what ive been doin currently 66.7 percent of my portfolio is link.
Ill fuck around and sell shit constantly, but I keep link in cold storage.
I have a great feeling about the future, and I'm not willing to risk short term gains at a potential loss
