Smart money is escaping Bitcoin while you will be left bagholding worthless shit

>> No.53104727

Can be explained in many ways

1. Moving coins around and dividing into more wallets
2. Moving to exchanges to open gigantic long positions as they believe the bottom is in
3. Whales playing whale games doing similar stuff as 1 but not for security reasons but for other reasons

It’s why I tend to take on chain data with a grain of salt, it can be easily manipulated

There's no denying alts improved a lot, At the peak were responsible for $500B+ economy (DeFi+NFTs), The question now is which alts are actually good?

Controversial but i think Bitcoin dominance is long due collapse to sub 20% (excluding stables), I find it extremely absurd we're still above 50% in 2023.

BTC dominance is going down because thousands of new alts are printed every month, not because current alts have a chance to outperform BTC. Any usecase you believe that altcoins have (NFTs lol) is not real and just a marketing scheme with buzzwords. Altcoins only exist to take your BTC

In this theoretical collapse scenario why would anyone want to hire a now completely skill-less human with less muscle than a 10 year old girl and train them from zero, rather than the current existing labourers who are immediately 1000x more desirable and employable?

Graph seems to imply that "institutions" (those able to acquire 1,000 btc at prices north of 10k/per) were what drove most of this cycle from 2018-21 judging by the magnitude of the increase in wallet addresses, which peaked in early 2021 with the broad market and have been selling off since

institutions probably don't have long-term faith in BTC and were just here for a quick buck to play the cycle. They now appear to be capitulating into the hands of smaller holders, as the 1+ btc and 10+ btc address counts have been spiking (especially 1+ btc)

interestingly, the 100+ btc addresses have been flat and down since the 2017 peak. These probably represent individual, early-ish adopters who cashed out in 2017 and haven't really been presented an opportunity to re-acquire a similar size stack at current prices
