Just have enough where you can quit your job at any moment and it won't cause financial stress or panic. Invest the rest. Ideally you want to think as little about your money. Not being fixated on if you have 100k, 20k, 80k savings or whatever.
Focus more on maintaining a tight but reasonable budget and sticking to it without even trying.
