Are most jobs fake? My local government always has a lot of job postings for shit like "desk wagie VI" which I should be qualified for easily, but I always randomly get rejected for nonsense reasons. One time it was because the job required an Associate's and I have a Bachelor's, so I wasn't qualified? I get the feeling that these jobs exist to justify someone's budget, but are not actually positions meant to be occupied since it's been years and I've never seen them filled. They just get reposted over and over again.

No I live in flyover. There are guys here doing the wfh gig, or they are working for local entity for around 100k. The boys stuck in Cali, and New York are the ones pulling 200/300k. The catch is that the cost of living in those places is so high they are still in poverty lifestyle. Need 1 million to live lower middle class in those states. Either way there is no reason for a guy with a finance degree to be working minimum wage retail.
