This was recurring gamma squeezes due to unprecedented retail demand in options market, driven by a weird meme nobody expected.

Shorts have not, and could not cover, even if they wanted to. There aren't enough real shares. Instead, positions were transferred and grouped into basket derivatives, broker orders are routed off market so retail buys have minimal effect on ticker price, and the hope is that retail will eventually sell their IOU 'shares', and the price will drop.

But instead, retail has continued to buy, and pull their shares out of brokers (DRS). Every retail broker has 90%+ buy rate. Higher than all other tickers. All indicators point to a massive growing 'effective' short exposure. And, its clear that retail hasn't left (the premise of this thread, right?)

This ticker has zero relation to fundamentals. This is the same for all basketed 'meme' stocks right now. 'near bankrupt physical video game retailer' doesn't bear any weight here, and funnily, isn't even true anymore.

I bought before the hype and sold when brokers sites were crashing. I bought and sold another position during the split. I have recently bought a (small) position this month that i plan to hold onto in perpetuity until the lid pops. I've made plenty on this ticker. Nothing has changed regarding the market dynamics of this ticker, and the thesis behind it as an asymmetric upside play.
