Options if done right can have astonishing effects on stocks. The amount of leverage the average burger flipper receives from purchasing one call holds more weight than if he dumped his entire years wages into buying the same stock. If people had bought GME LEAPS near the money this shit would have popped off hard months ago.

Okay, serious question. Someone asked me to explain NFTs to them like they were 6 years old, and this is what I'm thinking of telling them. Let me know what you think....

"Buying a NTF is basically like paying someone to insert two 64-digit numbers together into a public database. One of the numbers identifies who you are, and the other number identifies the particular computer file that you bought, which is often a picture file. (They call the database a "blockchain", but that's just a minor technical detail that describes how the database is stored and updated.) Your "ownership" of the computer file doesn't prevent other people from making a copy of the file -- that's because data can't realistically be protected from copying on the internet. However, you DO own the fact that your name is listed as the "owner" of that computer file in the database, and nobody can take your ownership away without your consent.

Oh, and by the way, there are many such "blockchain"-type databases out there, all containing different lists of who owns which NFTs. None of those databases are considered to be an "authoritative" source of information about who has ownership of an NFT. So when you say that you "own" a particular NFT, you must also specify which database your ownership is registered at, because theoretically a bunch of other people could also "own" that same NFT on different databases."
