I've watched those Canadians on youtube camp in Uhaul vans in colder conditions. Also Les Stroud on survivor man did a scenario where he was trapped in blizzard. He used the car to heat until out of gas and was able to rip up the upholstery to create walking boots and jackets. Used the stuffing of the seats as more layers. He then hiked to some cabin where he was later rescued.

It's 100% possible to survive those conditions for at least 48 hours. She must have goofed hard.

i stayed home nice and cozy while the entire state highway system was designated "no travel" for a few days while they got the plows through and the worst of the weather passed.
