>training is apparently 6 months
Are these guys trying to fuck me?
They're like oh yeah top guys make 300k but that takes dedication

Just so you know, you're basically selling solar panels instead of kitchen knives or Christmas shit

The future is now! lol imagine a company in 2022, where the internet can literally curate the best possible customers for your product and send them directly toward you and you still wanna go knock on some psychos door. Have fun with it anon, tell people you’re from the ATF as a joke to lighten the mood and get your foot in the door.

this anon >>53009311 is right, you're basically participating in an MLM scheme, before long the "managers" of this company are gonna be asking you to invest your own money into training and skillset development courses for sales. get out now and don't look back

Yeah nigger, with uncapped 20% commissions on high value products
Honestly the skepticism and ridicule I'm seeing here is making it seem more legit

From what I can tell it's a good one, 80% success rate for installs on closed sales

yea man, go do it. Surprised you even bothered asking in here. Would you be interested in working “under” me in an opportunity I think you might find interesting? It’s for real go getters like yourself, self starters, guys who are……..hungry.

huh? so 1 in 5 people who signed a contract and purchased these solar panels don't get them installed? they just fork over their money for the panels and say "nah don't bother installing them"?

You honestly think it's some kind of MLM?
Can't it just be a regular fucking sales job?
Or are you thinking they're making it look too attractive to honeypot me in and then they flip after some time? I'm not a fucking rube I wouldn't ever give them anything except my time but I'm wondering if maybe they just recycle sales guys

>> No.53009433

>>53009402
No I mean the logistics of the install work out 80% of the time.
Maybe the customer is wrong about their roof type, or how big it is, or some other variable particular to the install itself and so the install doesn't work out with the package they chose when the installer goes to check it out so you rework the package

>> No.53009435

it's only a scam if they give you the shit leads for 6 months. sales is the easiest way to make money if you('re chad) / no skills

what's the close rate per call and how many calls you making a day.
sounds pretty easy especially if you don't have to look for your own leads

also pretty scammy if they're hard capping you to $2300 but whatever you can learn there and get a better sales job

They said I'm not making outbound calls (except to clients I already have spoken to, or referrals gleaned from clients) and calls are inbound with people interested in going solar
Not sure on close rate, probably good question for 2nd call with them

All the chit chat aside, let's do something crazy for biz. Some maths. To fact check and sheeeeet.

At 300k, it'd mean there'd need to be a disposable gain of about 5.5 to 6k per week over 52 weeks for your cut of the sales.

Domestic systems range from about 5 to 20k in the UK depending on how big they are. They're usually more towards 5-10 and direct feed in. A typical diy house bayst system would involve about £1k of panels, a 5kw hybrid inverter at £1k and a 10kw battery pack at about another £4-5k. So £7k in totql for main parts and some more for bits and pieces. The extra will depend if it's going on the roof, racking, some structure for it to sit on, if a fitter is fitting it etc.

Trying to make 5k gain purely on the sale will be tricky particularly given that it's the new double glazing and there are quite a few people round that will price match I expect.

Boomers will be your prime target. Avoid the pressure sell. Mention "independence". Exploit the boomer greed factor by implying it's only right they should not pay for energy and be able to generate some passive income doing nothing. See if you can work an up sell on a new electric audi into the deal, just you know.... mention it in passing.... plant the dream

>>53009443
>also pretty scammy if they're hard capping you to $2300
They're probably relying on the new guys to do stacks of leg work trying to impress and get sales gains then give up. So long as they get the leads, phone numbers and addresses they can play pass the parcel with it. Top game 9d chess, rapprochement them as a supposedly different company with a slightly better offer.

sound advice
From what I was told, average system is 5k, 20% on close, so 300k guys are closing 5-6 sales a week
bonus commission on referral sales, was told 40% (I suppose so high because these wouldn't be inbound leads and would be my responsibility to find)

>>53009580
>They're probably relying on the new guys to do stacks of leg work trying to impress and get sales gains then give up
This is what I worry about, being used up at less than minimum and walking away with nothing

What is the place you applied too? I've always wanted to do sales and honestly solar is one of the few things I could probably sell. I'm passionate about self sufficiency and sovereignty.

Fair enough friend. Out of curiosity I've been looking at solar sales job listings and its possible some of those guys are making that much. I'm seeing averages closer to 150K-200K but its possible.

I'd say go for it and try for at least a few months. My gimmick would be talking about the insane energy prices especially in Europe and how it could make its way to the US and other parts of the world sooner rather than later. Uncertainty maybe because of the tensions because of Russia/Ukraine.

Public policy is currently moving away from fossil fuels. You probably want to avoid affiliation or support for any politics but just mention the reality of where things are headed. Its never been more important to have contingencies and back up plans for the future than right now.
