I am upset with myself when I look at how much money I have lost with options that I had no business buying. Sunk cost does not affect me in the slightest. If I am wrong I take the L, move on, and never look back. The only sunk cost I have is that I have lived too risk averse and I have not made it because of that. Trying to catch up in risk profile hasn't really gotten me anywhere so I've mostly given up in favor of Bogleheading. I was never bad even at the start, unless you have a blind hatebonner for the design changes. I'm quite surprised at how faithful it is, they're not rushing anything, and at the pace it's going on, it will end up close with the numbers of episodes of the original (a bit less though, but for the better, it's better paced). Both Kenichi Suzumura and Mamoru Miyano do a convincing work as Yang and Reinhard respectively. Norio fucking Wakamoto is cruelly missing, but what can you do, he's irreplaceable. Biggest downpoint unfortunately is the music, we get some symphonic tracks like the in the original, but it's too sporadic and only reserved for the biggest battles. Other than that, it's the same pleasure as always to see the commentary describing both that republican system and the dictatorship system, with their pros and cons, and how a single person can affect them tremendously.

Well in my case my pension is locked in. They (legislators,etc) can't fuck with it. Not without basically getting sued by a shat load of people for breach of contract. The data behind their studies are clearly and obviously manipulated and even if they're not their 'successful treatment amounts to 20% of the drug group seeing a DELAY in onset of symptoms on a time scale of weeks to months. It doesn't do shit and certainly doesn't cure grandma of her AD. But families are so fucjing desperate they'll screech and shit and fart at their doctors until they get their super special meds ordered that will totally cure grandma. We just went through this with a similar drug which caused half the FDA board to redign in protest, but it got passed due to straight cronyism. But SAVA doesn't have the clout or money to bribe their way in, the drug doesn't work, and MD's won't Rx it. I'll give it, I don't care, the whole system is fucked and I'm just here to make money like half of the other nurses I work with. Patients think they know better, and that medicine is a service like fast food, so I will happily serve our poisons if nobody wants to listen to sound medicine.
