This shows us something about retail buying power.

Limitations:

It was really strange watching my dad (who is 65) slowly realize that the stock market is completely fake. It started out as "the market always goes up" which actually is correct for him. That 401K will always go up long term. Then to "yeah there is more corruption than I thought in Wall Street". To then realizing naked shorting is happening. The strangest thing for me to see is him being red pilled on brokers. I had told him that you do not own a single share that you buy from your broker. I thought this idea would be met with saying I'm insane, and completely casting this off as a crazy conspiracy theory. Just shutting down the conversation completed. Well a few weeks ago I told him this and I swear he said "wait, so you are saying every stock in my Fidelity account...your saying I don't own a single one of them? They own it, my name is just written down as having one through them? And they can sell it whenever, for any reason they want???? Oh, you say it's in the terms of service? Ok, I didn't realize this and I'll go take a look at the tos".

I was stunned. It actually made me so happy. It's dumb but it really gave me a ton of confidence that people really will open their eyes and understand that this shit needs to stop now. Don't get me wrong, a large majority of people in society are absolutely dumb as shit, and the concept of investing is so far out of the realm of understanding for them that they will never be a part of this. If they are it will just be as a useful idiot for whatever side convinces them they will get the most free stuff from. But there will be a large enough group of people to fight this system. And boomers are 100% needed, and many will jump on board quickly when told what's going on.
