Why the fuck are houses in my area still twice as expensive as before the pandemic?

Landowners are absolutely cucking us to death there is really no point in keeping housing this artificially high. The price of food is ridiculous.

If a company were to suddenly roll out affordable housing at a modest headway literally anywhere it would make a killing.

>> No.52982248

>>52982216
You know "affordable" housing would just lead to brown hordes being displaced into rural areas to ensure that those states would never vote red again right?

>> No.52982251

>>52981143
Simply put, homeowners are trying to prevent a bubble burst. The conventional wisdom is that if you buy property, then you want it to appreciate as much as possible, but the truth is that houses are a lot like used cars. No one wants to face this truth and so housing costs keep soaring to prevent losses. No one wants to lose money on a house.

>> No.52982264

I'm not racist. I think you should be homeless for being a racist and brown people should get houses for working full time.

Homebuilders have stopped building entirely. We're also in stage of homebuilders dumping their losses

t. buying a cheap as shit new build from a homebuilder dumping their losses before the end of the tax year

Also I'm a moderate leftest. I really think republican politics are a Christian poison. Social politics have no place interfering with fiscal politics. Red people pander too much to evangelicals.

It's time for you to go back. Brown people should fix their own countries so they don't have to move here for a meaningless existence as voting bloc cattle.

I agree with you. I'm not into sjw shit, which is why I'm a moderate, but I'm left leaning in the sense that I think the government should regulate markets, but stay out of social issues.

So I have I guess moderate republican social values while I have fiscal green party sympathies. It makes being an investor ethically difficult since I obviously want to be a rich scumbag, but I think if we improve infrastructure then most social issues will disappear without needing to wage retarded social war. The only way to do this is to redirect taxes to infrastructure, which would create more contractor jobs.

You can invest in productive/useful companies while avoiding cancer. Even if you're investing in real estate, you can balance making money off your properties with being a good steward i.e. proper maintenance, fair prices, policing the community for trash and scum

america was built by immigrants coming over and working low skill trade jobs and then being able to afford a house and college education for 2+ kids. now those same type of jobs can barely afford a house 2 hours away from a city while wallstreet fat cats just keep getting richer.

USA was 75% white non Hispanic as recent as 32 years ago. Now it's 57.8% non-hispanic white.

>>52982442
Yeah the US was built by Irish/German/Italians and some Chinese built the railroads in the west. Africans picked cotton in the south and only Jewish slave owners got any benefit from their labor.

This. We're not going to see homeowners willing sell in these conditions. We're going to see a correction when people don't have any choice but to sell, which honestly doesn't look too far off from here.
