There is a new fully 'Airgapped' Hardware wallet, it has no USB ports or wireless communication like Ledger or Trezor. You have to scan the QR code to sign the transaction but it's way more comfortable than using a separate airgapped laptop setup. What do you think? I think it's cool

How does the blockchain know if the QR code is scanned?

Has anyone ever hacked a Trezor on the latest update? Nop.

Only Kingpin did hack a old firmware and he found the exploit due to the notes of the following update.

>has no USB ports
there's a USB port at the bottom of that circuit board tho. Also the Safepal hardware wallet works the same way with the QR code scanning, but is about $200 cheaper.

they're all hackable. lookup glitching. it takes incentive and much resources, but it's totally possible.

So not really airgapped since it needs to communicate with the blockchain. Got it.

agree that it is cool. am hesitant to spend any cash here, let alone store my crypto. it's early days for this device so gonna wait a while to let it mature and shake the bugs out

In the future, disconnecting with the ever evolving internet will require adversarial technology. The internet will try to rape-connect to everything it can.
If your "airgapped" trezor wallet has circuits for instance, then some fucking device out there will send it magnetic waves to induce voltage signal on its circuits.
The internet is literally a tentacle rape monster and it's getting ready to jack into everything including our brains.

Just use your own cable that doesn't have the data pins and it doesn't matter?
Or just charge it with an adapter from the wall socket?
Doesn't sound like a hard problem to solve unless I'm missing something here.

Are there actual good and secure wallet android apps out there? Preferbly open source

Instead of buying an expensive meme wallet i will turn an old android device into a wallet
>Flash open source custom rom without google services
>Install wallet apps
>Dont install SIM or wifi, keep it offline (you can install apps through apk offline)
>Sign transactions through qr codes
