Can't fucking believe I missed the animal token era. I was here the issue was I ignored all animal tokens shitcoins and concentrated solely on fundamentally sound defi projects of my liking. I can't believe I didn't just throw $500 into every new shitcoin that was posted in here. Can't believe I thought I was being a crypto snob not touching that junk when every single thing in crypto is essentially junk even the shit I thought was a bonafide technically sound defi project with utility purpose and potential to 1000x. At the end of the day every coin is 95-99% down at this moment so it made no fucking difference what you bought during the bullrun as far as integrity goes. I should have just chased the 10-50x animal tokens and kept rinse and repeating to a Million+ in profit before the musical chairs music stopped.

Fuck me.

What I've learned now surviving 2 fucking bull runs is this: Bear market is when you need to be smart, Bull market is when you need to buy the stupidest, scammiest shit as greedily as possible.

End. Of. Story. I pray we get at least one more bull run within the next 3 years.

I think psychologically I know what happened and I now believe this theory:

When you first get into crypto you are naive not just about the tech but more so about markets and how they ebb and flow. I entered early 2017 and experience every bit of the 2017 bullrun. I didn't make it because as a first time market participator I was delusional and held past the top. I did go from $3k to 600k though and I did it much like how many did it in 2021 with the animal tokens. However once everything crashed and the bear market settled for multiple years I grew weary and now timid. I was completely out of crypto by end of 2018 but by mid 2020 at the end of the bear market I got into the Defi summer and made a decent amount of money again but this time by buying smart utility driven hyped tokens after doing research. This was a 180 from my 2017 days of buying the first shitcoin that I read on r/cryptocurrency back when it only had 100k subscribers in it. Because of this "different" kind of success making a profit from defi tokens the "smart" bear market way of not going all-in, getting in early after doing your research, vetting projects, etc, etc. I ended up holding onto this same investment process all throughout the bull market. This made me money but not nearly enough. I should have shifted back to the reckless extremely risk based shitcoin flipping.

Looking back it's amazing how I fumbled two completely separate bullruns by doing the opposite thing both times. This is also why newbies that entered crypto in 2021 which was way more newbies than in 2017 made more potential profit during the run than I had despite my vast knowledge in both crypto and markets. Sure they vast majority didnt sell and made the same rookie mistake I did in 2017 but that's besides the point I'm making. What will be interesting is if all those ppl who got burned in crypto and left won't come back and jump on animal shitcoins next time around but I will, kek!

I am absolutely hoping there is another amazing type of token run with a theme like animals. I had the same experiences for the most. Showed up in 2016 and enjoyed 17/18 and kinda floundered a bit in 19/20 and barely did crypto but I came back about 2 months before the animal token era. I had prior experience so I did amazing this time. You could throw $10k at almost every coin and make bank. I want one more exciting run like that.

I feel like all I need is another 2020 to make it. Nothing crazy with Elon Tweeting or even animal shitcoins copy/pasted after changing one variable name the title on remix in 15 mins. In 2020 there was EWT, AMPL, COMP, GRT, UNI, VIDT, LIT, so many actual projects and not pajeet scams that did 10x plus. I made more money in 2020 than in 2021 and it wasnt even close. That type of environment I think can come back even if the global recession is still in place. Because that type of market didn't rely on idiot casuals and greater fool theory. Instead it was traders and investors gambling on projects that they believed had potential in the upcoming bull run. Of course they were wrong, the animal tokens and NFTs soaked up all the delta but it's irrelevant if you had treated those same defi tokens in 2020 the same way as the animal tokens in 2021 you could have cleaned up without needing the hordes of suckers to buy your bags like in 2021. My one fear is a year like 2021 requires too much (ath stock market, government stimulus, etc...).

I dumped almost all those animal tokens and made a mint. I still have a large stack of shiba inu but thats because it has so much going on along with bone and leash that you'd be a fool to not have at least $100 million shiba inu minimum at the very least. But I know the board thinks its a shitcoin and is clueless about shibarium,shibaverse (and the wef invite it got them) and the resturaunts and being able to pay for vehicles at some select dealerships and how it all intertwines. Shiba Inu is the only coin I actually go out of my way to pick up more and more weekly.

I am very sure there will be something in the next 1-3yrs that will kick off at least a somewhat decent run. Will it be animal token era idk but I think we have at least one last decent bullrun left. Im ready for it and I will be doing my best to catch whatever meme theme it is and put a pile of money into coins and hoping for another 5k per shitcoin bit of fun.

I did get into ICOs in 2017 I got into ICX and Nuclear Vision (NCash) etc. In 2020 ICOs were virtually non-existent same as today. All their is today is private/presale VC projects that are garbage and don't give you much x's compared to the animal token phase of 2021. I don't know what the heck you are thinking saying that. ICOs in general got regulated out of crypto for the most part. Now there are IDOs and other presale shitcoin crap but all that falls under "animal tokens" aka useless shitcoins with copy/paste code and no official real project/team. There was an IDO phase in late 2020 btw that was printing money but I consider that more towards the "animal tokens" shitcoin phase.

Anyways it seems like you missed out on the animal token phase of 2021 same as me. Not sure how you can deny the millions in liquidity that was slooshing every hour of every day at the hay day that any one of us could have captured if we weren't so rigidly stuck in our conservative shellshocked from 2018 bear market days.

honestly dont underestimate these meme tokens ive had several discussions with people who made 8 figs + from the 2021 run all in tech coins and they think that stuff like shiba and doge is useless but when i point out that so is something like link or fantom and that none of these coins actually do anything they dont say anything. we are operating in a 100% pure speculative market all that matters is how good the idea is which draws more people in to buy instead of sell. i saw on twitter the other day a shiba restaurant in australia that was going to open up soon. i feel like projects like these have more potential in the long run then some tech coin because its easier for the normies to understand and wrap their heads around

I really think everyone should have at the absolute minimum 100 million shiba inu tokens in their wallet tho 200 million is a bit safer for holding for 1-3yrs while everything they are working on rolls out.
