The first step to making money on crypto is not looking at it as a steady income, but instead as a investment that will net u much more income in the near future. You know the phrase "take it with a grain of salt"? well apply that x1000 to every 4chan shilling thread, including this one. Do your own research, but usually the combination i look for is tons of growth potential/fulfills a niche + low current market cap, with the market cap part being a little bit more important. For example, if coin A in my opinion has lots of potential but a market cap that has already mooned once or twice, but coin B has a little less potential but a market cap that is still quite low compared to what it could be (e.g. FUN), then coin B will generally net you more gains unless you are looking towards ultra long term. I guess the TL;DR is buy altcoins that you see shilled once or twice that havent already mooned too much, and if they have potential invest into them. As for getting out, dont think about it too much because it gets you into the daytrading mindset which will generally only lose you money. Only consider selling a coin that has potential once it has netted you at least 2-3x gains, and remember if you are unsure you can always sell in portions to minimize potential loss.
