youre right that we were drunks but that doesnt make it abnormal. it's normal to do that at 18 in this country, in school they taught us that having more than 10 drinks was binge drinking but it was rare for me to ever see anyone have less than that.

we pretty much all quit drinking now though, as once we hit ours 20s we started to get hangovers.

Last summer I was fucking this girl that used to go to AA meetings and started relapsing when I met her. She could drink like there's no tomorrow.
I tried to keep up with her one night at a bar, her thing was a beer and a shot of whiskey. So we would slam a shot of whiskey and start drinking a beer. We got to 10 sets of those in about an hour and I started to not be able to walk very well. I ended up throwing up for most of the night, she was fine and just went to sleep.
I also weigh 70lbs more than her so it's amazing how much she could drink. I miss her.

I mentored a young guy who was fresh out of jail, homeless, gangbanger etc… he had a lot of problems obviously but one of his most admirable qualities was that he was always honest about his issues. I would call to check in on him sometimes and he’d be like “yeah bro I fucked up again and I’m tweaking right now.” He eventually broke the cycle and now has a steady job working construction thanks be to God. Point being, lying about your addictions is the worst thing you can do. It’s better to own up to your sins and deal with the consequences than play make believe like a goddamn toddler.
