I remember a time when every developer wanted to work for google and their open source software was of high quality and met every quality metric you could think of. To stop (You) from making money and become more dependent on the printed dollars being shoveled into the economy under the guise of "stimulating the economy" while actually devaluing the currency altogether.
To keep people in their houses so they have to obtain information through tightly controlled surces such as the corporate news media, mainstream news articles and the like.
They could even be keeping people off the streets so they can build and install things they don't want anyone knowing about. Funny how a lot more strange metal trees popped up over the last few years.
