objectively speaking he's not wrong. BTC now is only useful for exchanging for other currencies and simply having the reputation as an OG. even legitimate usage of BTC has been substituted; it cannot provide privacy, it does not have any smart contract features, it cannot deliver fast transaction times with an appropriate tx. It simply does not justify 332 billion dollars in marketcap for just exchanging around, it literally being treated as a beanie baby; because it is.

ETFs killed Bitcoin, they can short millions of BTC with paper contracts without even buying Bitcoin. Here's your institutional investors you all wanted ;)

Alright buddy, tell me why we're still bothering to compare BTC to USD if it's actually something worth considering. If it had been something that accomplished anything we wouldn't constantly be talking about the price? Right? Nah, you don't have anything. Keep exchanging for fiat, kike.

The ETF need an exchange to short million of btc with paper contracts, what exchanges does that?
There's an limited amount of bitcoin, they can't simply fake it because at a certain point people will ask for the real bitcoin and they wont be able to dliver it, so they will get in trouble just like the FTX did..

Because everything has to be compared to something to have value, doesn't mean it will always be exchanged in USD
Some countries do in their country currency/BTC
I'm doing USD because we are on a english speaking server and it's easier to uderstand, but 1.0 Bitcoin equals 1.0 Bitcoin.
And 1 bitcoin today can buy you a car.
0.9 Bitcoin buy you another car
0;5 Bitcoin buy you a nice motorbike
0.1 bitcoin buy you a nice gaming pc
0.01 bitcoin buys you some lots of food..

And people do buy things directly with bitcoin
The problem is people like you who keep talking shit about bitcoin aand delaying it's inavitable revolution, you're only delaying it, soon or later it will happen.

>> No.52902650

>>52902608
Just because we are using dollar as an example doesn't mean that there isn't the bitcoin example.

For example, on Lightning network you can make any bitcoin transaction for 1 satoshi and instatanous without any delay.

You're making on the spot excuses to make up for what you know is a faulty argument.
>it was just an example!111
But alright.

Your delusional fantasy of bitcoin being a standard to something holding value to exchange for another will never come true.

So you really think merchants are going to go out of their way to accept bitcoin in the future, and thus assuming governments are gonna be totally A-OK accepting their taxes in bitcoin; that everyone will be happy and merry in a system that has no stability? Are you fucking insane? Bitcoin is an open-source project, governments start to decide whether bitcoin should go in this direction or that direction and here comes the hard fork. What now? What now to your dumb fuck bitcoin utopia? How are all these core developers going to be safe in this stupid world where bitcoin is part of a revolutionary change and fiat is obsolete?

Yes let me sell you a car for bitcoin that has been tainted being associated with drugs, money laundering; and let me make it all public for everyone to see what I'm purchasing. Haha.

>muh revolution
you should be kissing my feet for me even considering giving you a serious argument. lmao, you're lost.

>> No.52902791

>>52902650
You are assuming that your satoshi is going to be something that can be used in everyday legitimate goods. I'm not talking about drugs or a donation button. Why would the store next to you, the gas pump, your friend, your family member, the hospital be in any position to readily accept bitcoin? The dollar has value because a genuine government is backing it with infrastructure, lives and investments (no not your money in your CEX account). Truth be told, it goes up to the government. They will never accept something thats out of their control as something to be readily flowed through without resistance. And there goes your "IM GONNA BUY A CAR WITH IT!!! LOLZ".

End of the day dude, the extreme majority of crypto is used in exchanges. It's a beanie baby; p2p paypal at best and served much better with a relevant stablecoin in its place.

>bitcoin being a standard to something holding value to exchange for another will never come true.
Already is true, bitcoin is the standard currency in the crypto space, eveyr crypto has it's value on bitcoin.

>So you really think merchants are going to go out of their way to accept bitcoin in the future,
Already is happening, I buy food, cloths, and tech goods with bitcoin
The gov doesn't have necessary to accept it, there's many ways to use it.
And for sure some gov wont accept it, but some other WILL accept it like el-salvador
So there will always be rogue states/countries that will have bitcoin as it's legal tender.

>system that has no stability?
Bitcoin's system is super stable and simple, way better than the banks system, now when comes to bitcoin's price action it will take time until it's price get stable(Which I personally dont like)

>bitcoin that has been tainted being associated with drugs, money laundering
Every bitcoin and FIAT money has been associated with "dark" trades and we still keep using it, and tainted bitcoin is a myth, you can't taint it
There will always be people willing to accept bitcoin, what the gov flags or not is inrrelevant.

>> No.52902876

>>52902791
Why would they accept bitcoin?
Because it's the hardest currency ever created in the human history, if you can't see it that's because you didn't search enough.

And why they accept FIAT? because they got brainwashed to believe that this worthless paper has value even though is has no value because it's just a piece of paper that the gov print how much they want and in any time.
So that's why its called a bitcoin revolution, slowly people start to notice.
Everybody buys bitcoin at the price they deserve.

dunno why you'd put so much effort in a troll, pretty easy to see:
>Already is happening, I buy food, cloths, and tech goods with bitcoin
you sound like a kid who realized he can lie on the internet and not get spanked doing so
>...it will take time until it's price get stable(Which I personally dont like)
yes yes because you are the hyper-intelligent sage economist who can see the future, lol.
>There will always be people willing to accept bitcoin, what the gov flags or not is inrrelevant.
oh yes I am aware nodes cant get stopped by legislation. but unfortunately you cannot comprehend the fact that this directly contradict yours utopia fantasy that you're going to fucking live life giving and receiving BTC for anything outside of niche goods; even your weird larp of you buying "food, cloths, and tech goods".

this is either a high-effort troll or just another newfag who got delusional on the high of 2021 and really ate up twitter thinking he's gonna be a crypto millionaire; that's the only reason why you truly think it's going to go anywhere mainstream.

Nobody is going to change your mind, why bother debating it? Go buy some more and be the one to only ask for bitcoin; run for president and announce btc as your legal tender.

>Everybody buys bitcoin at the price they deserve.

>>Already is happening, I buy food, cloths, and tech goods with bitcoin
I used bitcoin debt cards, websites and other platforms that accept bitcoin.

>oh yes I am aware nodes cant get stopped by legislation
The Bitcoin network depends on the many random, unconnected users who run full nodes on their computers and thus keep Bitcoin decentralized. There are currently over 10,000 reachable full nodes distributed across the world.
Good luck trying to stop over 10k nodes all over the world(Impossible).

If you've cornered the market by holding a majority minority amount of that item, more than the weekly volume for instance, you can always dump more of that item on the market to meet temporary demand that would otherwise raise the price. Dump enough of it and manipulate the ETF market for that item by spoofing shorts and spoofing non-existent, un-backed versions of that item, then you have a recipe for almost complete market control. JP Morgan has been doing this with silver for years.

Interesting but could this really be applied to bitcoin? I'm pretty sure there's an counter argument on this we just need someone to find it, because if this were to be done it would've been done long time ago(as it's a known fact that the rich bankers hate bitcoin to its gut)..
