Recall CL surge from 3$ to 20$, it began with a microsoft tweet, at that time there seemed to be real interest outside of crypto for CL, connecting offchain data to onchain. It was in the aftermath of this that it reached the high valuation.

tl.dr. CL has shifted away from being an oracle network that could connect the real world with crypto, to becoming a price feed. As such as time progress and without any news of the contrary, the price will continue to trend lower until the true value as a price feed aggregator is discovered (which i think is somewhere between top 30 and top 100 in marketcap).
