I was wondering how much everyone is planning on tipping their managers this year. Would $1000 each (my group has 6 MDs) be too low for? I don't want to seem greedy or ungrateful, although this year has been harder on me financially…

For reference, my bonus last year was ~25% higher and I tipped $1250 each – and I figure there might be some leeway this year given this environment.

Btw I work in investment banking where this is a common practice.

the lowest you're going to get away with is $2200, you can play it off as a creative gesture since this is the year 2022.

You are going to get fired if you don't tip at least 15% your salary dumbass. Why do you think managers get paid more? It's because we take all the risks!

I thought $1,000 is OK this year given the market but will definitely consider going above and beyond with some non-monetary shows of gratitude
