Yes you need to set up a goybase account and keep it stocked with USDC. Yes, the debit rewards are dispensed in shitcoins like XLM but you can just immediately sell them back to USDC. Geico is getting absolutely assraped to a concerning degree. Every company is struggling due to inflation but Geico is being plowed the fuck out. They have poor leadership and have been axing all of their top talent, assuming they can be replaced by two workers who are paid half as much - except that their corporate structure is the definition of micromanagement and producers can work for their competition making the same money with a fraction of the fuckfuck games. They are basically in survival mode right now, massive layoffs, etc. I think they are “too big to fail” but I would be surprised if they dont lose their #2 spot to Allstate soon, although I hear they are struggling as well, they just jettisoned their entire commercial product lines a couple of weeks ago. [YouTube] Federal Reserve Is On The Brink Of Bankruptcy (Here's Proof) (embed)
pretty sure this guy is a goldbug
but his claims seem reasonable, according to him and his new york fed friend they are going to basically print to pay for the loss
but more importantly if fed remittances to the treasury are negative
doesn't that mean that effect on m2 is positive?
like if they buy bonds at 100 then sell at 95, 5 is left in M2 permanently
at any rate the rate hikes actually seriously hurt their ability to contract M2 ironically, because they are also paying out higher rates in the RRP, which increases M2
if they had kept rates low and aggressively sold their balance sheet off it would contract M2 by trillions
so why did they start rape hiking in the first place?
what did darth powell mean by this?

You want to ideally find an agent who has experience for a decade or more since insurance has a billion rules and regulations for a billion different products. As for whether or not its legally possible to not have insurance for your situation, that what depend on what your situation is? Too broad of a question. Also this reminds me of something else, since anons were saying "millennial women weren't as whorish". But when I was in college I was literally at a dorm party where a bunch of chicks were just sitting around flirting with guys while in their underwear. It was really weird, but they were definitely whores 'back then' (which was just a few years ago).

Uh, anon, I don't actually need insurance. I'm just trying to prod you into thinking "who will pick up the business as GEICO and Allstate collapse?" Those are the rising insurance companies you'd want to investigate and see if they're worth longing.

The "what types of insurance are legally required?" is to flag a landmine in your research. If, I dunno, trucking or skyscraper companies ditch GEICO they'll have to find somebody else. But if some other type of customer runs into tough times, hates their insurance, and isn't legally required to continue it, that business might disappear flat out instead of benefiting your rising star.

Massive ratehikes are starting now thru march, just got approved in my state, but literally every company is doing them at the same time. Which means people will shop more, id argue this is where the little guys stand a better chance because as rates get unreasonably high, all the faggot advertising and having your company name plastered on sportball stadiums becomes less important than the bottom line of premium cost to customers.

But again.. why even play when theres thousands of other options out there to play with.

This is pretty tricky and I'm trying to understand it.
The fed is not using mark to market, so their $8 trillion balance sheet might actually be worth 16% less since the value of their bonds has dropped since they bought them.
Even though they have so much, many of their assets are long dated securities so their monthly paycheck isn't that big, actually.
The problem with this is they use their monthly income for expenses, and they're now paying higher interest rates in reverse repo to banks.
Since they're no longer profitable, they stop remitting extra profits to the treasury, and promise to pay them later (deferred asset) when they're profitable again.

This seems like it wouldn't be a problem, since they can print money. However if inflation is high and they're already insolvent this early into the tightening cycle, they're in a dilemma.

Do they start selling bonds (rather than just letting them mature) to pay the difference? Or do they cut expenses? Or do they pivot by lowering interest rates?
If they stop or lower payments to the reverse repo, there's a risk the banks will move that money somewhere else and increase inflation. Stopping payments to the treasury for prolonged time could mean the government defaults instead.

And of course, the market has already caught onto this, anticipating they'll do what they've always done, which is lower rates. The 2018 tightening cycle lasted 2 years, but now its lasted only 9 months?
We're on the verge of something very bad.

No it teaches you pattern recognition and sharpens your intuition to feel out situations. And also puts you through hundreds of situations without needing to spend anything. You seem like some "I gotta have skin in the game!" gambler.
If you paper trade until you get it down with a set risk reward using a OCO bracket and position size then do the same thing in real life starting small, there's not much of a hump and little room for these mysterious "bad habits" to mess anything up.

Hold up friend, the fed cannot go insolvent by design, they do not need to generate any profits nor do they need to be cash nuetral, they print as much currency as they need. Also their bonds have not yielded anything, if you want to see how fucked they’ve been and done nothing about look at the average weighted maturity of their holdings, they own up to 60% of the open interest on some specific long dated treasuries. So they have been insolvent, but it does not matter because they are the fed, the bag holder of last resort. They can raise rates further if they please and hemmorage money, because at the end of the day if they hold until maturity they are technically break even on their bonds. RRP does not need to be a financially profitable venture for them, as it is a fed facility.

The big problem here is that the Fed increased their balance sheet $4 trillion in 2 years, and now since they are losing money they don't have to pay the Treasury a dime. Look at how they frame it from their own notes too:
>The deferred asset is the amount of net earnings that the Federal Reserve Banks need to realize before remittances to the U.S. Treasury resume.
It's possible the Fed is going to continue to tighten as it can be used as leverage for the Feds own interest. This might be the greatest scam since 2020

I would advocate for interest to stay at 4% forever. Zero interest is not healthy. Earned money has to be worth something and getting 4% in a savings account, last time it happened in 2004, is actually the risk-free reward for a lifetime of savings that boomers should get.
Zero interest forever, unless "exceptional" situations, wopuld basically mean islamic banking in the free world and do you really want that? Just look at the muslim world.

I've been within pennies of the 52 week low of SP500 in October. you can totally try to front run the market the people that get fucked here are the ones that wait for the 4% pump and then buy calls after instead of waiting for the 4% dump and then buying calls. Boggleheading is better than what most gamblers here do though. If you don't have a thesis and you are just randomly buying soxl when it's green it's gonna end up bad.
