Personally, the first 2000 shares came from other brokers and were already book. But I had another 6000 shares I had I direct purchased through CS and they all WERE in plan. I didn’t know my direct purchases were treated differently.
So I could see how there are absolutely monumental amounts of shares already in CS which are still being used to loan.
Here is two facts that cannot be denied.
If GameStop were still offering paper certificates, the only way to get one of those is if you are in book form. Not book form, you literally cannot get your name printed on the share and the share mailed to you if this were a company which allowed paper certificates.
Second. Plan allows fractionals. Books does not. Fractional shares are not real. How could you register a fraction of something someone else owns the other part of.
I imagine Reddit gets the plug pulled if the conversation continues. Mods prob have their balls (or whatever grotesque downstairs mixup they got) in a vise over this. The whole point of embedded shills (here as well) is for moments exactly like this.

I don't even know how to sell from CS. And literally, if MOASS starts to kick off, everyone at a broker should attempt to DRS their shares we can send this rocket into deep space. I wouldn't be surprised if those of us with shares DRSed will be wined and dined by Wallstreet executives. They will attempt to negotiate private sales/transfers of shares like we are multi millionaires being courted by a sales team.
None of these hedgies are prepared for this. If they slip now it gets out of control immediately.
