One thing that the mods absolutely hated was the "Book vs Plan" discussion. They fought that harder than anything recently. Tried to find anyway to remove the post or comments. Fought kicking and screaming to convince you that "plan is the EXACT same thing as book". Their arguments were fucking weird too.

There is no doubt in my mind that they are scared to death of people finding out that some or all of their DRS can be categorized/kept 2 different ways. If you bought some straight from Computershare they are probably Plan. You can easily check them online. Says right by your share count.

But your shares need to be "Book" in order to count as DRS. Computershare did an AMA you can go look at where they say Book is the true DRS. You can read all about the specifics. Plan shares are not counted in the DRS numbers you just saw for Gamestop. They even keep some in the DTC to be loaned out.

It I'd super easy to change too. You can do everything online. You don't have to take the time to call and talk to someone. You have to terminate the existing "Plan" (itdoes nothing to your shares) and then it will let you change to Book. You cannot move fractional shares to Book. You have to either sell it or just keep less than one share in Plan. You can choose how many shared to change. That's it. Super easy and absolutely free. Then your shares will count. Again, Computershare said BOOK is the true form of DRS, which you can go verify yourself.

This info needs to be posted on reddit. Watch how the mods attack you. People start going crazy over this seemingly little detail. But everyone needs to know asap. That's right, the DRS numbers are higher than what we just heard from Gamestop. It's probably why RC tweeted he was the "BOOK KING". Get the word out.

You can direct register a share as type plan which is usually for recurring investments, and it's removed from the DTCC but held in street name by computershare.
