The supply shock is going to increase the price isn't it? Nexo will be insolvent and scrambles for liquidity as their LINK short gets squeezed. All the fudders are going to lose their job, I'm so sorry you can't feed your village anymore but at the same time I'll be enjoying the peace on this board after you're gone.
Thanks for playing a role, you did well, bye now.

Not cuz fat betray dump 50m link. There will actually be a 2.5% increase in supply

>> No.52794426

Supply shock will not come until v1.
Big boys frontrunning v1 will happen some time after v0.2

Its over for at least 1 year. Take solace in the fact that your LINK stack is stacking more LINK for you, in preparation for the supply shock.

all those tokens were already removed from circulation since holders were anticipating this. if anything there will now be a significant dump on the market from those who missed out on staking.

Someone actually gets it.
Imagine thinking that any of the people who just locked up their tokens were ever going to sell them.
The probability of them being sold was exetremely low. Only financial emergenies and such.
So now effectively all that is achieved is that when some holder has a financial emergency that would have made them sell, they can't...oh but wait...
Derivatives...hmm...we'll see I guess...

how will compounding work over time regarding withdrawals?
rate is determined by use and usage changes all the time. that fluctuation should be taken into account by having variable rates plus bonus for timed lockups. if someone wants to stake for the min. amount of time they should get the standard variable rate of return as dictated by usage. time bonuses should be applied those who choose to stake for longer periods of time to emphasize stability and not capital fleeing.

Well, I'd take back the derivatives part if I could. Since I agree that's sort of the classic definition of nebulous fud, especially the way I did it there plus the the tone.
But I stand by the idea that in terms of actual, effective probability that these coins that are now staked were ever going to be sold anyway, it's pretty marginal at best.
I mean yeah you can't sell now, but if staking was coming December 2023, what are the odds you would have sold before then?
Yes, the odds are zero now. And for various reasons there's always some chance you could have sold over the next year while waiting for staking, but realistically you probably would have held.
So I just think if you really quantified it, while it's objectively true that there's 25m link that can't be sold now, the actual amount of that 25m that would have been sold over the period is quite tiny. So it's just pretty marginal overall relative to the way people present it.
Still a positive. But not if CLL uses it as an excuse to dump. We'll see.
CLL are the ones who should be locking up their coins for 5 years to actually give this thing a chance. Imagine if they had to stake...lol
